Carly was left behind when her owners moved. The neighbors took her in and called one of East of Eden’s volunteers. Carly is a sweet, wiggly puppy who loves attention and gets so excited she can’t sit still. Rescuers think she is a cocker spaniel mix. She gets along with other dogs, but she is a little afraid of big dogs who want to play with her. She is progressing on her crate-training and housetraining.

• East of Eden is a nonprofit animal rescue group. Its volunteers are at Petco, 2888 Grant Line Road, from noon to 3 p.m. Saturdays. For information: 815-5186.
