Anyone who believes Rep. Jerry McNerney is a moderate has been drinking swamp water. McNerney is a liberal, who has voted for 95.2 percent of Nancy Pelosi’s agenda of communistic ideals of government control of the people.
In less than two years, McNerney and the Democrat-controlled Congress have doubled our national debt while the unemployment rate has gone from 4.6 percent to 9.5 percent since McNerney’s election into Congress, which is the worst it has been in 27 years.
He has voted for government control of banks, the auto industry, insurance companies, and student loans through government takeovers or a tax-funded stimulus. He has voted to increase taxes both directly and indirectly on the people, including supporting cap and trade and the trillion-dollar government takeover of the health care industry.
He has voted for slashing military spending, eliminating programs protecting America from terrorism while being against immigration reform and enforcement.
Republican David Harmer is the only candidate with an economic plan to cut taxes, eliminate government regulation, control spending and protect America from terrorism.
David Harmer is not the Pelosi Puppet that Jerry McNerney has become.

Here is a recap of what happened in 2007.
"House speaker-elect Nancy Pelosi, D-San Francisco, called McNerney last week to invite him to make the address, according to McNerney, who guessed that he had spoken with the influential leader “five or six times” since winning office.
McNerney said his extended family is in D.C. with him for today’s swearing-in ceremony"
I like that phrase "extended family". Don't you?
What has our Congressman ever done for Tracy? Wasn't the Tracy Press leading the charge to vote Pombo out?
Please explain the plan?
Now what?
We wait four more years for nothing?
Get the Democrat lobbyists to say you are the "most independant" and put it on a political flyer.
Do your research if this is the right vote, or not.
Thank about it fer a second.
Capitalists make thair money by producin goods an services that people will buy.
I mean, ain't that th reason fer makin somethang an sellin it in th first place, ta make a profit?
If no one buys it then it's a money looser an th savy Capitalist will move on ta somethang th masses will buy. Ain't that what free market Capitalism is all about, makin profit?
Now as I recall, when ya break up our population of registered Republicans versus registered Democrats, which I would imagine pretty much mirrors people's identification of themselves, Republican or Democrat, that Democrats out number Republicans by almost 33%. Th rest are registered Independents, half th amount of registered Democrats an slightly less than th number of registered Republicans.
Then, outa th estimated 204 Million folk that are qualified ta vote, not registered ta vote but qualified ta vote mind ya; they figure in ta be about one third of th population who is qualified ta vote but don't.
Given this it would seem that registered Democrats an Independents, plus a bunch that don't bother ta vote at all, are more in support of capitalistic ideals than Republicans are simply fer th fact they make up th larger consumer group an th evil ole Capitalistic retailers are just providin em th goods an services they're clamorin ta buy.
I often find it odd that it seems that, more often than not, th people who complain th loudest about Capitalism an its evils are th one's supportin it by purchasin th goods an services Capitalism is offerin em. You know, them thangs like IPODs, cellular phones, personal computers an th like.
People can't pay thair bills, keep thair homes out of foreclosure, keep food on th table fer thair families ta eat, can't afford good medical care an gotta depend on someone else's good nature, or wrest th money from folks who live within thair means ta survive but they shore can find th cash ta afford thair Cell Phones, Internet Service Providers, Cable TV, Flat Screen TVs an brand new car every year or so, not ta mention th latest in fashion ware.
All of them thangs that th evil ole Capitalists are willin ta sell em an that th Socalist minded folk seem anxious ta buy.
Amazin ain't it?
Is it true that McNerney only has one bill to show for all his terms in office?
I think there are actually four, but three of them are for Honoring some city's milestone or something like that?
Is it true that you need to spend so much jet fuel just to get one bill signed in Congress?

Though there are times you're correct, the comment in question was not one of them.
Why continue to eat junk food while professing not to care for it?
From my perspective I actually didn't realize our taxes were getting worse until reading this piece.
And if the unemployment rate is getting worse people should know these things.
When were you planning to serve up some of that whole-wheat pita bread with hummus?
"As for all of these political hit pieces disguised as letters to the editor are a bigger turnoff. I view them as the "junk food" of public discourse."
Then stop reading them

"Oh boy you really told me with your overused rightwing soundbites that are intended to sway the narrow minded thinker! Dcose are you a narrow minded or just dim witted?"
I am both, though clearly less so than you.
"I am for Democracy 1st and Capitalism second."
The two are a symbiotic relationship. You cannot have Democracy without the freedom brought to you by Capitalism. Socialism, Communism, Monarchy, Tyranny and so on do not allow for the individual except that the results of his work becomes the ruling class to dispose of.
"Democracy should serve the needs of society above the needs of capitalism."
Socialist tripe allowing society to overrun the rights of the individual.
"Capitalism should also serve the needs of society above the needs of Corporations."
Why do I need to serve the needs of society? I choose to do so but why am I required to do it?
We are an S Corporation. No one is required to buy from us, no one is forced to work for us. No one is required to buy from Wal-Mart or work for them. It is the consumer's choice, let them decide. By taking choices away (buying crap from big box stores) your argument is spurious. It is based on nothing more than your unfocused dislike of corporations.
BP isn't run by Democrats or Republicans. The company is British. Are they paying American's compensation in Euros, yet?
Perhaps you meant to say you thought there was some redeeming qualities in our current Congressman's track record and wanted to share it with us?
If so, I'd sure like to hear it. And maybe others are also wondering what that might be.
Actually I blame BP for BP's oil spill. But my reference to BP was metaphorical in response to your candidates position on less regulation.
What you have attempted is an association game where you blame republicans for BP's oil spill, when we don't even have a republican president in office.
As a response you are now blaming republicans for big box and consemerism.
I think most Americans tend to take a mor level headed approach to the problems we are facing.
Give them a chance to correct what went wrong in the last CD-11 election.

I am for Democracy 1st and Capitalism second. Democracy should serve the needs of society above the needs of capitalism. Capitalism should also serve the needs of society above the needs of Corporations.
"Republican David Harmer is the only candidate with an economic plan to cut taxes, eliminate government regulation, control spending and protect America from terrorism."
"This sounds like the same old Republican Bullshit to me."

One more nutjob touting that "Capitalism is the problem." Which law (other than Obamacare) forces you to buy crap? Don't want something... don't buy it.
I'll take more capitalism and conservatism. Socialism is obviously not working.
I didn’t blame anyone, I merely stated that history contradicts your positions. I think both our political parties represent the corporate interest ahead of the common good of its citizens and that is biggest cause of our economic problems today. You can blame the Dems for all our problems but you would be no more right than me blaming the Republicans.
Our Democracy has become subservient to Capitalism instead of Capitalism being subservient to Democracy. To the corporations own detriment they no longer take an interest in maintaining a strong middle class (workers/employees) in this country. We as consumers also play a very important role to our own detriment with our thirst for cheaper crap. Notice not too much is produced in the USA and when it is we rarely buy it because we can find the same item made in some foreign land for less.?
Emerging technologies, and the internet has created a hyper competitive market place in every industry. We as consumers gravitate to where ever we can get the best deals. We usually do the most of our shopping in the same place. Let’s say the store is called BIG BOX!
Big Box needs to keep the consumer happy or he will go elsewhere for his crap so BOX keeps prices low and in order to do so BOX pays Its workers poorly and BOX applies maximum pressure to the supply chain that will in turn pay their workers poorly and put maximum pressure on their supply chain etc. Wall Street also applies max pressure by demanding maximum returns on investments or they will invest somewhere else.
This has an end effect of causing wages to stay stagnant or go down even while the GDP has grown exponentially in the last several decades. Where is all the wealth? It hasn’t trickled down to the middle class. Why have the non essentials gotten so cheap and all the essentials gotten so expensive? Inflation is not existent in consumer goods but we all pay more for housing, gas, bread, eggs, milk, electricity, healthcare, water, medicine. Today the average American have far less money after essential expenses than past generations and this trend only appears to be getting worse.
Our political discourse rarely discusses any of this in great length instead we occupy our discussion on topics that have far less impact on our society such as gay marriage or where we can or can't build a mosque. Meanwhile our middle class seems to be following the moderate republican, into extinction.
A more important question might be why does our current congressman have only one bill to show for the last x amount of terms?
Swampwater is the assertion that jobs are staying domestic because Democrats have lowered taxes and created fewer regulations until we have nothing to show but a 17% unemployment rate.
Republican David Harmer is the only candidate with an economic plan to cut taxes, eliminate government regulation, control spending and protect America from terrorism.
This sounds like the same old Republican Bullshit to me. Let’s cut taxes and lower the deficit at the same time and while we are at it lets deregulate so we give more power to the large corporations and wait there’s more our plan also includes protecting Americans from terrorists by invading another country most likely Iran.
Republicans have been spewing the same crap for the last 30 years even though historical evidence and common sense are contradictory to these views
Ya get th point?
Sides, McNerney don't want ta tick ole Nancy off, otherwise he'd probably have th pay fer his own transportation back an forth from CA ta DC an not be able ta ride with Queen Nan on her weekly jaunts back an fourth on a private military aircraft on th taxpayer's dime.
