Katie Melville graduated from the University of Washington on June 11 with her bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary arts and sciences. She works as a substitute teacher for the Clover Park School District in Tacoma, Wash., where she lives with her husband of two years, John-Michael Melville.  

She is the daughter of David and Julie Gordon of Tracy and a 2006 West High School graduate.
