The Mountain House Soccer Club got a head start to its fall season this week with a soccer camp that attracted nearly three-dozen players for a week of instruction with coaches Amir Safaie and Chris Faidley.

The skills camp will get players ready for the first fall season of the club’s new league, which already has about 200 players on 23 teams, ranging from under-14 to under-8.

Faidley said the teams will meet for practice in early August, and competition will start the second weekend of September. Most games will be at Wicklund School, 300 E. Legacy Drive, while the U14 teams will play at the new Questa School on North Montebello Street.
