James proposed to Crystal in September on a balcony overlooking the ocean at the Hotel Pacific in Monterey.
Crystal is the daughter of Lynn and Todd Ah Yo of Manteca. Her sister is Casi Burcham of Tracy, and her brother is Christopher Ah Yo of Manteca. She is a graduate of California State University, Chico, and is an elementary school teacher.
James is the son of Dan and Saitong Petersen of Las Vegas and the brother of Bobbie Gomez of San Diego. He works for the city of Modesto’s traffic operations department.
For their honeymoon, the couple will take a cruise to Mexico.
