Huckaby, a former Sunday school teacher in Tracy, is due to appear in Department 14 of the Stockton courthouse, 222 E. Weber Ave., at 8:30 a.m. Monday. She is expected to be sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Her guilty plea May 10 was the latest twist in the saga that began March 27, 2009, when Sandra was reported missing from her home at Orchard Estates Mobile Home Park. Sandra’s body was found 10 days later inside a suitcase that had been tossed into a dairy lagoon north of Tracy.
Also at the Monday hearing, Judge Linda Lofthus could decide to keep in place or lift a gag order that has kept those involved in the case from talking to the media. Lofthus could also unseal records that contain details of the crime and testimony.
Sandra’s family has fought to keep those records sealed.

While I'm at it I would like to thank the Tracy Police Department for their quick action in the case, also Det. Cogburn as the lead investigator on the case for a job well done. He worked long hours and preformed his job very well, even with all the fire he was taking from the defense lawyer.
I agree with this. Over a period of at least 16 years, MH's odd behaviour escalated from when she was 12 (talked about committing suicide), to cutting herself, to lighting fires, to thefts (and saying she was incompetant to stand trial/getting an order for mental evaluation), to drugging another child and a man (exercising a sick need to control others), to "accidentally" killing Sandra. Something must have happened to her when young - I suspect some kind of abuse that was covered up instead of dealt with.
Interesting how attorneys and newspapers are the most vocal about wanting details of the crime to be released, but I don't need to know details, and some will come out from word-of-mouth anyway. The gag order will likely be lifted, but info could remain sealed. I respect the family's wishes more than that of unrelated parties.
We know because of the gag order and that the judge won't allow cameras in courtroom that they keep reusing the same picture when she was first arrested and appeared in court, but it would be nice change to see the Press use a recent artist rendition of her like many other media outlets are using.
These files should be forever sealed and not released to the public. It's no ones business other than to the prosecution/defense and the families of those involved.
Leave it alone and let the healing end for these families.
Yeah....I know what you mean. Tinfoil has a habit of striking a nerve with me too. But, strangely enough, not this time. Valid points were made.
The Judge will decide what information gets released based on the most compelling of the current case-law. Pleas from the family, while certainly moving, will have no direct bearing on the Judge's decision.
Ideally, the autopsy results will remain sealed and the FBI/BAU profile results will be released.
We'll know Monday. (Have to watch it on TV though....no local newspaper till Friday.)
However it is not up to the family. This is America and right or wrong the info will come out.It is up to you whether you want to read it or not.
