A new summer of recreation swimming is under way at the Pinkie Phillips Aquatics Center pool.

The pool located on the West High School campus at 1775 West Lowell Avenue will be open weekends through September 5th and weekdays through August 6th.

Pool hours for recreational swimming are Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Monday through Friday 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

There is only one pool be used this year for recreational swimming as the Joe Wilson pool in Doctor Powers Park will be closed for the summer.

Are you serious Sneaky? So you're saying because the city has a High School swimming pool it doesn't need an aquatics center? That's like saying Tracy already has Foodmaxx so it doesn't need Costco, Safeway and Savemart. Get real. An aquatics center will generate tax revenue, it will be of immense benefit to the community and it will help bring the status of the city to a new level.

Looks like someone needs to head back to West High School to not only swim, but finish their classes.

An aquatics center will generate revenue, jobs, and a safe place for children to go in their free time. Businesses will find ways to get involved in surrounding areas, schools can host fundraisers there, and people will generally be drawn to it for recreation, which would be fantastic for Tracy, especially now. That's why.

I didnt know this existed. Since this exists why is it that our city leaders think we need to throw tax money at an aquatics center?
