Emergency crews went to the 1500 block of Wildplum Way at 5:04 p.m. Sunday for a report of a child drowning in a swimming pool.

Tracy Police Department Sgt. Tony Sheneman noted that it was a family gathering and other people were in the pool, but they had lost sight of the 3-year-old boy and when they looked for him they saw that he was underwater. An ambulance rushed the boy to Sutter Tracy Community Hospital, but he could not be revived.

Police and the county coroner took reports.

Tracy police received 465 calls for service Friday through Sunday. The following is a sample of those reports:

11 a.m.: Someone reported that a man in a gray Nissan Titan was drinking a beer near one of the gas pumps at Bonfare Market, 15 E. Grant Line Road. Police arrested a 48-year-old man on suspicion of drunken driving.

12:01 p.m.: A person on the 1600 block of Chester Drive reported that a 1989 Honda was stolen.

12:45 p.m.: A 52-year-old man on the 600 block of Chestnut Avenue was arrested after someone reported that he kicked in a door and threatened family members.

5:27 p.m.: Someone at West Valley Mall, 3200 Naglee Road, reported about 30 people were in a fight near Sears. Mall security and police found a group of teenagers who appeared to be involved, including one who had minor injuries, but no arrests were made.

10:04 p.m.: About eight people were seen fighting with sticks and yard tool on the 200 block of West Whittier Avenue. Police talked to people involved, but nobody wanted to press charges.

10:31 p.m.: Someone reported that a gun was fired on the 1200 block of Renown Drive. Police questioned people on the scene and learned that the sound was from a large firecracker.

11:22 p.m.: Neighbors reported a fight and about four gunshots on the 500 block of Clarence Bromell Street. People ran away when police showed up, but officers did talk to a couple people at the scene. Nobody wanted to press charges.

Saturday

12:21 a.m. A woman in eastern Tracy told police that her fiancé was drunk and threw a full soda can at her. Police arrived and arrested the 34-year-old man.

12:29 a.m.: A person was hit in the head during a fight on the 200 block of West 23rd Street. The assailant reportedly drove away in a newer Toyota truck. Police and an ambulance went to the scene, but the victim did not want medical attention or police involvement.

3:20 a.m.: Police found a Jeep Cherokee with its hazard lights on and all four doors open on the Holly Drive overpass near Clover Road. Police found that the steering column and gear shift were damaged. The Jeep’s owner was contacted, and police confirmed that it was recently stolen. Shortly after police found the Jeep, officers also found a man walking nearby, and believe he was the one who stole the Jeep. He was arrested on suspicion of auto theft and taken to San Joaquin County Jail, where he awaits a Tuesday court date.

12:59 p.m.: Someone stole a 1991 Honda Accord from the 2400 block of Lincoln Boulevard.

4:30 p.m.: Police arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of trespassing and battery after he got into a scuffle with a security guard at West Valley Mall, 3200 Naglee Road. The man was cited and released.

7:41 p.m.: Police investigated a report of shots fired on the 300 block of East 22nd Street. A woman reported that the shots sounded like they came from inside a house, and she also heard people screaming. Police found other people who were in the area at the time, and while they also heard shots nobody could tell police where they came from. One of the people turned out to have a warrant, so police arrested her and took her to county jail.

9:31 p.m.: A 35-year-old man in southeastern Tracy reported that his ex-girlfriend threw a can at his head. The 43-year-old woman said that the man was calling her names and had spit in her daughter’s face. Police arrested both of them.

11:03 p.m.: A 16-year-old boy was taken to the emergency room at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital after he was reportedly hit by a car while riding his bike near Central Avenue and Schulte Road. The car left the scene, and the teenager could not describe it for police.

Sunday

12:34 a.m.: Neighbors on the 200 block of West 12th Street reported a loud party getting out of control, and possibly a fight with people getting ready to throw things. Police arrived to calm things down.

9:55 a.m.: Police went to Plasencia Fields, 2200 Krohn Road, for a report of a fight involving about 20 people. They all left before officers arrived.

3:09 p.m.: A woman reported that a man had just been beaten at the am/pm on the 3400 block of North Tracy Boulevard, and her fiancé took the 49-year-old man to Sutter Tracy Community Hospital. Police reviewed the store’s security camera surveillance and informed the man that his story about five assailants jumping him after a road rage incident wasn’t going to hold up. He then declined the make a report.

5:27 p.m.: Someone reported a hitchhiker near the Shell station, 3725 N. Tracy Blvd., throwing things at people who would not give him a ride. He was gone when police arrived.

7:42 p.m.: A man reportedly ran away from the scene after he crashed his car into a bunch of parked cars in the area around Hillview Street and Valpico Road. The California Highway Patrol eventually caught the man and followed up on the case.

7:45 p.m.: Police went to Save Mart, 2005 N. Tracy Blvd., for a report of people fighting in front of the store. Police found a man on the ground bleeding from the head, and learned that he was allegedly caught stealing and fought with security.

8:31 p.m.: Police went to Taco Bell on the 900 block of South Tracy Boulevard for a report of drunken youths in the restaurant, including one who was passed out in the bathroom. Three were taken to Sutter Tracy Community Hospital and then released to their parents.

10:18 p.m.: A house on the 1700 block of Stags Leap Court was burglarized — a Nintendo Wii game system and a laptop computer were among the property stolen.

I think the 35 year old boy-toy called the 43 year old woman 'old broad' and the fight ensued. It happened to me when I was 28 w/ a 43 year old lover.
