Senior first baseman and outfielder Mike Lavarias was named to the first team, as was freshman pitcher and catcher Austin Larson. Lavarias’ batting average of .585 was second in league play, and Larson hit three home runs in league games to lead the HCL in that category. Chosen for the second team was sophomore outfielder and pitcher Tanner Carroll.
Millennium assistant coach Drew Reyes noted that Lavarias was second in the MVP vote tally. He is also the first Falcon player to be selected for the High School All-Star Baseball-Softball Classic, which will be played June 18 at University of the Pacific. Lavarias will join seniors from around San Joaquin County and the foothills in a North vs. South all-star game.
