EDITOR,

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Jerry McNerney inherited an unemployment rate about 4.5 percent in February 2007. Today, the nation’s unemployment rate stands at 9.9 percent and is broadly much higher.

During the past 38 months, the economy with a Democrat Congress, including Pelosi and McNerney, has lost a net of 6.9 million jobs. Those job losses have erased all the job gains of 6.74 million jobs that were added during the last full 38 months of the Republican-controlled Congress.

The current Democrat Congress and its leader, President Obama, has left us with a worthless $860 billion stimulus package, two $1.4 trillion deficits, nearly 10 percent unemployment and a government takeover of medicine that is expected to cost $2.4 trillion over the next decade.

The people of the 11th Congressional District and America need to give Pelosi and her follower, McNerney, a two-word, Donald Trump-like message in November: “You’re fired!”

Tom,

Let us know when you have asked Nancy how he will vote on your peripheral issue.

At least he ran and tried, but I can only think of one reason Tom would still be stumping for him - if he can somehow be persuaded to flop on the canal issue for Tom. I'm guessing the only reason Tom is still stumping for him and hoping Nancy gives him the order to vote yes and not no.

Tom is correct about one thing the political posturing is a step to try and get votes from the Republican farmers in Stockton who oppose the canal.

"I am committed to providing relief to drought affected areas,"

Oh yeah?

How's that Jerry?

tom,

I told him the jobs would go overseas. Did he listen?

Why don't you ask Nancy how he should vote?

This is for Chillipepper:

Mc Nerney refused to support the canal, after his meeting with Ornellas and a few money slingers in Tracy. I asked him if he would vote on the canal if it came up before congress, he said no.

He said he couldn't.vote on it or support it, without explaining why. Maybe that's why he beat Pombo, because he's a underground republican, looking for support from the democrat farmers.

ChilliePepper you need to read into the whole story, I don't have time to dialog with you I have important things to do. Don't call me I will call you.

My last comment, I noticed dropped a name, guess it is a habit of mine with people I don't care much for, I was referring to McNerney.

"The people of the 11th Congressional District and America need to give Pelosi and her follower, McNerney, a two-word, Donald Trump-like message in November: “You’re fired!”.."

THAT would be music to my ears, hopefully a candidate will have true and committed concerns for the veterans, and see that things gets DONE. I sure would be glad to see someone is Nancy Pelosi instructed and polished lip service removed from the office. He deflects the questions with ease!!!

I am looking forward to hearing victorious bell ringing, "You're Fired" to existing corrupted, cherry picking politicians and... to the newly elected ones, "You're Hired!"

Tom,

Written by Tom Benigno.. 'Jerry didn't even vote for the canal.'

Some thing you should know before stumping for a particular candidate.. Especially when you previously ran for Congress.. Right Tom?

Congress did NOT vote on a canal.

The article is about congress.

I have a letter on my desk from our Congressman saying he flies back and forth to DC to meet with voters and wanted to have a phone conference instead???

Does that add up, Tom?

I think the author is on to something.

Tom,

Some people say one thing and do another. Know anyone like that?

Last I checked there was a democrat in Stockton who was the only one left that pubically wanted to build yet another canal.

The farmers don't even want the State of CA on their land. So you and Jerry may be the only two people left holding the bag?

"WHERES JERRY"

I think that may have been answered in Mary's letter.

Hope that helps.

Chillipepper:

Sorry for the misspelled word.

Also where are you people getting all this information from about the canal? Jerry Mc Nerny didn't even vote for the canal and he's a democrat. So this must mean that all farmers are democrats.

Chilli pepper:

WHERE'S THE MC NERNY PART OF YOUR POST, THAT IS WHAT THIS STORY IS ABOUT.

Some has sold you guys the wrong bill of goods. No one is going to tear down houses, the canal will go throw wasted farm land in the valley .

HOW DESPERATE ARE YOU PEOPLE? A PIPELINE. IT'S REPUBLICAN AND DEMOCRATS WHO WANT THIS CANAL

"Dc: All those facts are not true. You had better get the real facts. Your cooking the books again, you better pick up the hammer and get to work. You need to help your boy win. Sorry boy."

This was in reference ta dcose who pointed out that Tom once commented on these sections. Dcose wrote . . . Tom Benigno said at 10:35 AM on October 2006, "I will stay focused on helping Mc Nerney win this race. So troll person we can all work for a common goal. That is not to find new candidates, it is to see that Jerry Mc Nerney wins this one."

Th truth as ta if Tom or dcose are correct lays in th archives of th Tracy Press an those of ya out thair that save th machinations of ole Tom fer future reference like this.

Personally, an this shouldn't shock anyone, I'm a sidin with dcose on this one because even though I am advancin in my years my memory is still intact.

Actually I don't care either way but feel you readers should know what was said an what wasn't said before ya take anyone's suggestion about how ya should cast yer votes.

Educate yerselves on th candidates an th people supportin em an ya will probably do a better job at th polls. It's yer vote, make it count.

Suffice it ta say, I've never been intentionally misled, by dcose, that I know of. Sorry but I can't say th same about Tom Benigno though. Wish I could but unfortunately I can't.

Tom,

Instead of tearing down homes for a peripheral canal. Why not just get a pipe.

The article says liberals are wasting out money on silly ideas.

Stop doing that.

Ms. pacman:

No you are wrong if you look at all the 74 posts my name was thrown in. I didn't post the poor remarks about myself I just defended my position on all issues.

Remember the Topic was about Jerry Mc Nerney, so why don't you all get back to business on how you can help beat him, if you don't like him.

Leave me out of the race. If I wanted to run this time I would have.

The canal is for people who lost their homes, and need a job.

Tom,

Sounds like you are starting your campaign here. I think if you ever got the "votes from both sides" you would just add to the debt mentioned in the above article. I see in other blogs you keep pitching the peripheral canal as part of your campaign. Honestly, I think you might get fired before you get the job.

He can. He does.

I wouldn't call him a republican.

Rhino maybe.

Mary Park:

The way these guys are going it's better than having a full time staff, to help one get elected. The good thing is I will get votes from both sides, and I won't have to pay for the help.

Good show.

How can someone call themselves a Republican and still support Obama/Pelosi/McNerney?

Sorry boy.
