The retired Rev. John-David Schofield, bishop of the Anglican Diocese of San Joaquin, has directed the congregation of St. Mark’s Anglican Church to change its name to Church of the Resurrection.

During services Sunday, the congregation unveiled new signs indicating the name change during a ceremony at 4005 S. Tracy Blvd.

Schofield will visit the Tracy congregation during regular services at 9 a.m. May 9. The Rev. Edward Dondi is the vicar of Church of the Resurrection.
