EDITOR,

Since the early 1970s, our public school system has become the indoctrination camp for the left-wing environmentalists who continue to brainwash our children about the man-made destruction of our Earth. Back then, global cooling caused by man was going to have the Earth destroyed within decades. Now, global warming will give us a few hundred miles of beach-front property in Nevada after California is swallowed up by the rising ocean levels.

The Tracy Press does its part as the left-wing organ by turning over the Voice page to a “Living Green” column every 10 to 14 days like clockwork. Maybe the Tracy Press should just come completely out of the closet and run Living Green in every edition.

Don’t get me wrong, littering is bad. In fact, the fine for littering should be $10,000 instead of the current $1,000 penalty. Community cleanups are fabulous and should be celebrated as long as it is volunteer-based, not government-mandated.

Voluntary recycling is also a great thing to advocate and do. However, government-run recycling programs are a total waste of taxpayer money. We can’t afford it. Do away with them!

Man-made global warming is a fraud. Global warming scientists are liars who have developed projections on tainted and one-sided research that has intentionally ignored the cooler geographical areas of the Earth. Recently revealed memos by these supposed scientists prove their lies and inaccuracies.

They need the man-made global warming lie to make money from tax-funded grants. Al Gore needs the lie to rake in millions of dollars

This fraud of man-made global warming has led President Obama to promise America that if the Congress does not pass a cap-and-trade law for carbon emissions, he will pass it one executive order after another through the Environmental Protection Agency. Cap-and-trade is nothing more than the government takeover of the energy industry.

This could result in our energy costs rising by as much as 300 percent over the next 10 years. This cost will be added to the additional costs brought about by massive health care taxes. Then add the inevitable high taxes required to pay for more wasted jobs bills after even more failed government stimulus packages.

The result will be a destroyed American economy and the end to the America we knew before the Obama takeover of America. Our American dollar will be so devalued it will require our local welfare recipients to haul a wheelbarrow full of $5 bills to SaveMart to pay for their box of Fruit Loops.

Because of all of this, I will support David Harmer for Congress in November — just in case we have a chance to stop the global warming regime led by our American tyrant-in-chief, Barack Hussein Obama.

Tim...once again you are right on the money. You have done your homework, and I am very proud of you.

Keep your sights focused on the "lefties"...they are the real enemy!

Obama and his scandalous team are out to destroy our country, and they are doing one hell of a good job so far. :^(

RHCP

Ya don't really know how accurate yer statements are here.

It started when he first got inta office as th VP. Even then he was an accomplished ponsey operator.

My first clue involved his dealins with Occidental Oil in th King City area of CA.

Then after he made a killin on that deal he started his rant about internal combustion engines, knowin that if we took immediate action it was goin ta increase our price of oil, th same oil he was happy ta sell us at an enormous profit he, through th power of his office, engineered.

Then when Bill an he parted company an he wanted ta be President, thair was the deal with th China spy that gave him a wad of cash ta get Loral Corp ta send people ta China ta get their ICBMs ta be able ta launch an place satellites in orbit.

That money was used in his campaign against GW. Thankfully AG didn't get elected or we probably wouldn't have Obama in th White house taday.

Say, come ta thank about it, that might not have turned out quite so bad. :) It's a joke an I am not serious.

Yep, ole P.T. Barnum was right when he said, "A fool an his money is easily parted." Lots of fools walkin around taday aren't thair?

Fortunately, as of late, it seem that many of them are wakin up ta smell th coffee an they don't like what thair smellin. Must have been brewed with some of that thair water people are so concerned about lately. :)

Doors17,

It was not only clumbsy to say he invented the Internet it was wrong the whole article V was dropped. A complete fiasco. He never really did anything to the Internet worth taking credit for. And the Internet Silicon Valley bubble started crashing when he was in office. This whole global warming was a franchise created not only for financial gain, but also for the extenaion of political gain and the money still pours in by the boat loads by those who are still using this ticket to stay in office. Shows how gullible people are.

You actually trust th Democratic party apologist called Snopes.com?

So happens I heard his speech when he gave it an it was apparent he was tellin em that he invented it. No accident.

Ya think that anything these guys say is an accident? Nope it's all carefully scripted.

But don't worry about uncle Al an global warmin raisin th ocean ta flood th place. Accordin ta th news taday in th LA TIMES th writer Lauren Beal wrote,

"Former Vice President Al Gore and his wife, Tipper, have added a Montecito-area property to their real estate holdings, reports the Montecito Journal.

The couple spent $8,875,000 on an ocean-view villa on 1.5 acres with a swimming pool, spa and fountains, a real estate source familiar with the deal confirms. The Italian-style house has six fireplaces, five bedrooms and nine bathrooms."

So I guess th threat of global warmin an risin oceans has passed. Whew, that takes a load off my mind.

From Snopes.com

Claim: Vice-President Al Gore claimed that he "invented" the Internet.

Status: False.

Origins: Despite the derisive references that continue even today, Al Gore did not claim he "invented" the Internet, nor did he say anything that could reasonably be interpreted that way. The "Al Gore said he 'invented' the Internet" put-downs were misleading, out-of-context distortions of something he said during an interview with Wolf Blitzer on CNN's "Late Edition" program on 9 March 1999. When asked to describe what distinguished him from his challenger for the Democratic presidential nomination, Senator Bill Bradley of New Jersey, Gore replied (in part):

During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet. I took the initiative in moving forward a whole range of initiatives that have proven to be important to our country's economic growth and environmental protection, improvements in our educational system.

Clearly, although Gore's phrasing might have been a bit clumsy (and perhaps self-serving), he was not claiming that he "invented" the Internet (in the sense of having designed or implemented it), but that he was responsible, in an economic and legislative sense, for fostering the development the technology that we now know as the Internet. To claim that Gore was seriously trying to take credit for the "invention" of the Internet is, frankly, just silly political posturing that arose out of a close presidential campaign. Gore never used the word "invent," and the words "create" and "invent" have distinctly different meanings — the former is used in the sense of "to bring about" or "to bring into existence" while the latter is generally used to signify the first instance of someone's thinking up or implementing an idea. (To those who say the words "create" and "invent" mean exactly the same thing, we have to ask why, then, the media overwhelmingly and consistently cited Gore as having claimed he "invented" the Internet, even though he never used that word, and transcripts of what he actually said were readily available.)

Does AG (Al Gore) even care about the people on this planet. After all, he also tried to tell them he invented the Internet.

The New York Times ran an article about the American Petroleum Institute in April of 1998. It outlines a very specific and detailed plan by oil and gas industry representatives to invest millions of dollars in an effort to undermine support for the Kyoto Protocol and discredit the scientific consensus opinion that greenhouse gases are causing the planet to warm.

http://www.euronet.nl/users/e_wesker/ew@shell/API-prop.html

The draft plan, titled “Global Climate Science Communications Action Plan,” concedes that opposition to the protocol is not shared by the public or a vast majority of scientists worldwide. “There has been little, if any, public resistance or pressure applied to Congress to reject the treaty, except by those ‘inside the Beltway’ with vested interests,” it notes.

Don’t inconvenience me,

Don’t tread on me,

Don’t tell me what to do,

Don’t bother me with science and books,

Don’t expect me to like the black president!

Don’t burn our flag but allow me to burn books,

Don’t teach evolution, but teach creationism instead,

Don’t expect me buy health insurance, instead let me bleed,

Don’t expect me to like the black president!

Don’t expect me to recycle or conserve water,

Don’t burden our future generations with dept, only with a depleted planet,

Don’t take away my AK-47, I may need to hunt with it,

Don’t make me care about the lazy ( non-white),

Don’t expect me to like the black president!

Don’t expect me believe in global warming,

Don’t expect me believe in Financial Reform, I prefer free-market manipulation,

Don’t expect me believe in amnesty, here’s to me,

Don’t expect me to like the black president!

Don’t expect me to have empathy, your treading on me again,

Don’t expect me to agree with your point of view until it is my point of view,

Don’t make my fruit loops too expensive, It’s my main source of nourishment,

Don’t bother me with your intellectual elite, Books and Science again,

Don’t expect me to like the black president!

Don’t tell me what to think unless you’re my pastor,

Don’t allow abortions, but also say no to welfare,

Don’t tell me the world is round,

Don’t allow for self determination, only god can play god,

Don’t expect me to like the gays, marriage is an exclusive club and we called it first,

Don’t expect me to like the black president!

Tim is right about cap n trade, unfortunately congressmen are blind as a bat on this issue. We are now seeing PGR spending money like the boatloads on political advertisement spots. That is going to cost a lot more than you know.

I have no idea what the truth is in this debate. I'm sure there is some truth coming by both sides, but since sides have been chosen by both political parties, you also know that a lot of manure is being spread equally.

Each side can present their experts, but I'm always skeptical when these experts are on someones payroll to represent the financial interest of who they're speaking for.

As far as littering, I do remember when it was a common daily occurrence to see people toss trash from their moving vehicles but thanks to heavy fines it's rare now. What I do find maddening today are those who toss out a lit cigarette in areas where you have a lot of dead dry grass that can easily start a fire putting firefighters life's at risk and create a traffic nightmare, just because some selfish idiot didn't want to get his ashtray dirty.
