Students at the Monticello Elementary School put on their funny faces today as they held their annual clown show for classmates and parents.

For three weeks the 34 second-grade students practiced how to clown around as they readied for the show filled with music, comedy sketches and joke telling.

Sparkles the Clown and Ravioli helped out the class with their makeup and clown characters. The school has been performing the clown show since 1997.

It was fun putting on the clown show when I was at Monticello. Couldn't have done it without Mrs. Parker!

My son was in the clown show a couple of years ago. Ms. Parker is the teacher that puts it on. She is the best teacher. She never does the same skit year after year, it is always new and fresh. The kids have a blast
