The couple has dated since 2008 and met while working together at In-Shape Sports in Tracy.
Patrick proposed to Ashley at dinner on his birthday, March 24, 2009.
Ashley graduated from Patterson High School in 2006 and from Kaplan College in 2008. She works as a medical assistant for Livermore-Pleasanton Pediatrics.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Roger McDonald of Tracy and Lisa McDonald of Lathrop and the sister of Michael McDonald of Lathrop. Her grandparents are Mel and Gloria Ornellas and John and Mary Gualco, all of Tracy.
Patrick attended West Valley Christian Academy and graduated from Tracy High School in 2007. He is employed by Tracy Unified School District and West Valley Christian Academy.
The groom-to-be is the son of Greg and Tammy Varvell of Tracy and the brother of Brandon and Collin of Tracy. His grandparents are Bob and Carolyn Bulson of Arizona and Esther Varvell of Riverbank.
