A man called at 1:12 a.m. to report he was “sideswiped” by two guys in a white Toyota at Holly Drive and 22nd Street, and that he was laying down and didn’t feel like he could get up.
He had no injuries, paramedics said, but was taken to the hospital anyway, where workers in the emergency room said there was “no indication” he was hit by a car, and that it “looked more like he hit someone with his hand.”
The caller later said the car “kind of nudged him, or something.”
The Tracy Police Department received 149 calls for service on Monday. The following is a sample of those calls.
8:01 a.m.: A woman reported she saw an “18-wheeler” hit a light pole and then drive off from Grant Line Road and Holly Drive. Police later arrested and cited a 56-year-old man on a Los Angeles warrant for driving without a license.
9:11 a.m.: A caller said a guy at Grant Line Road and Tracy Boulevard in a “silver older Buick” was dealing drugs in the area. He was gone when an officer checked it out 41 minutes later.
10 a.m.: Police arrested a 20-year-old man suspected ha having gang ties on a $20,000 drug warrant on Manzanita Lane.
10:50 a.m.: A woman with a toddler in a home on the 500 block of Krider Court reported that she “saw a shadow and the window opened.” Police questioned a man and a woman.
11:15 a.m.: A woman on the 200 block of Central Avenue said her ex-boyfriend walked away from her home once she told him she was calling police after he “broke her window and was beating on the front door.”
12:18 p.m. A man said his vacant home was broken into on the 2800 block of North Corral Hollow Road.
12:29 p.m.: Vandalism was reported at Save Mart, 875 S. Tracy Blvd.
12:33 p.m.: A woman reported her daughter’s “ex” was at the West Valley Mall, 3200 Naglee Road, “cursing and yelling” at the caller.
2:11 p.m.: A caller went to the police station at 1000 Civic Center Drive to report someone forged one of his checks at a Chase Bank in Cupertino.
2:16 p.m.: A caller reported six boys were fighting in the parking lot behind Save Mart, 1950 W. 11th St. Police found no one 56 minutes later.
2:23 p.m.: A caller complained a guy was hanging around Marlow Brothers Park, 225 Adaire Lane, watching kids and trying to talk to them. Police tracked down the 34-year-old man and arrested him on suspicion of public drunkenness.
2:48 p.m.: Two guys were in a car smoking marijuana at Balboa and Laguna drives, a caller reported. They were gone when police stopped by 1 hour and 3 minutes later.
4:40 p.m.: A woman at the Chesapeake Bay Apartments, 2941 W. Lowell Ave., said someone phones to say that she won a car and some cash, and to send $335 to Jamaica so she can collect. She sent no money, and police told her not to.
7:14 p.m. A woman told police her ex-boyfriend called her and threatened to blow up her house on the first block of East Sixth Street. Police arrested a 33-year-old man.
7:20 p.m.: A 14-year-old girl threatened a parent with a knife because her “privileges” were taken away. The girl was “polishing the chef’s knife,” but put it back it its rack and walked out the door in her bathrobe, the caller said. Police later said it was only a verbal argument.
9:28 p.m.: A caller said kids at Evans Park, 1740 Parkside Drive, appeared to be passing a pipe around and smoking drugs.
10:30 p.m.: A “small child” told police her dad was hitting her mom at the Stone Pine Meadows Apartments, 229 W. Grant Line Road. The girl said her father pushed her pregnant mother down, and she was “crying a little bit.” Police arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of domestic violence and an ambulance was called for the mother.
11:56 p.m.: A robbery victim showed up to the emergency room at the Sutter Tracy Community Hospital, 1420 N. Tracy Blvd.
