EDITOR,

At this writing, Rep. Jerry McNerney has stated that he is still reviewing the so-called health care reform legislation widely reported to be coming up for a vote in the House this weekend. If McNerney continues his pattern, he will vote in favor of the legislation, as he has supported House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and President Obama’s agenda with over 95 percent of his votes.

McNerney has to be contemplating this vote with an eye toward the election in November. With a no vote on Obamacare, he risks the wrath of the far-left progressives who are driving much of the agenda in Congress and form the base of his support in the Bay Area. A large number of campaign donors for McNerney come from outside his district in Berkeley and the Bay Area.

Will McNerney heed the protests and the phone calls and the opinion polls that tell him that his constituents in Tracy, the 11th District and the American people do not want this type of reform? Or will he continue to obey Pelosi and his wealthy campaign supporters?

These supporters do not actually favor the mandatory insurance and other provisions in this legislation. They want single-payer, a complete government takeover of health care that would make your employer-based or private health insurance illegal and turn our health care system into something similar to what Canada has. President Obama stated this was his goal during his 2007 campaign, and many in Congress have called this legislation a starting point, with more to come.

Rep. McNerney, do you stand with your constituents and the majority of the American people, or do you support socialized medicine? That is the decision in front of you.

I don't care if he's READ it. Ask him if he *understands* it. I met with him before his vote on Obamacare and it was clear to me he understood not one bit of it.

A well meaning guy, but NOT very smart--just the opposite. I'm glad that he will not survive the redistricting that has just occurred.

Concerned:

Why don't you call him and ask him if he read the package. I don't have his number but you can find it some place.

I find it difficult to believe that McNerney actually read the health care bill. All those loopholes and the bill will actually hurt California. The Governor is already asking the feds for money to keep CA from going bankrupt after the healthcare is approved. This is the worst hodgepodge the dems could have ever approved. It also does nothing to pay for FD medical emergency response fees, which California cities are flocking to by the boatloads.

If he read it he must know this is a catastrophe for America.

Tom Yammered, "...Collecting money from special interest projects that made you a rich contractor."

Especially today, I wish I was a rich contractor instead of putting in more hours for less money. (Though still better than being the type of guy assigning blame to everyone else)

D Cose:

"...where were you when it was necessary to vote him out of office?"

Tombo, I supported him then and do now.

Signed,

Waiting for locked up evidence I suspect will never be produced.

TomBenigno said VOTE FOR MCNERNEY

Tom B., do you really feel McNerney read the health care proposal front to back? If so....

Then what is the stupid amendments doing in the proposal, "No Viagra for Pedophiles".. "Student loans being affected", "ACORN" was in it among crazy others... and they voted?????

Did they even see anything odd about it, I guess their briefer(reader)briefs them on details and left out the crazy loony amendments?

I fear, but I may be wrong, not one of them read it front to back, otherwise those nutty amendments would have been caught??

Too many holes in the Health Care Plans!

Not confident with it at all.

D Cose:

You were talking about supporting Mc Nerney. I was acting as a elected member of the republican party and I saw fit to run against a failed republican congressman Richard Pombo.

Not once but twice, where were you when it was necessary to vote him out of office? Collecting money from special interest projects that made you a rich contractor.

Go hang your head in shame. When it's time to ride Mc Nerney from office will you support me?

We are talking about you as a big supporter of Mr. McNerney. Again this year? Can they count on you?

Concerned:

How did your Obama, Mc Nerny "IVE'S" do today. I'm sure you were there. Next time Laura come's to town I will introduce you to her. By the way there were many republicans there, Mr Loftus was one of them.

Concerned:

If you go to that Facebook you will see some of the same pictures that you speak of, and also you will see Mrs. Bush I at a funtion in Stockton.

Along with that you will see myself and a few so called republicans. What does it all mean? That Mrs. Bush and I had an affair.

I hope you enjoyed the State of Confusion speech that your leader gave.

Good moring Tombo,

you've confused (Shocked, I'm shocked) me with someone else. I did not ask you what you were doing at the Democrat Unity Breakfast because the picture was obvious... supporting a hardcore liberal by urging people to VOTE MCNERNEY.

After health care's vote... you must be so proud of your man McNerney.

JimF01 and Rambler:

You have a lot of nerve asking me what I was doing there. I was elected to the Central Committee and received the second highest amount of votes that year.

It's people like you who caused many republicans to leave the Big Tent.

I was there to see who can represent the republican party, for Jerry Mc nerney's seat. I'm still not to old to run against Mc Nerney or any other candidate. I will make my decision at the voting booth on who to vote for.

I never asked the republican party for support on any race I have been in. I did it my way.

Jim you should have come over and introduced yourself, or were you afraid face me?

As for the Rambler, he must have got his homework information, from carpenters hand book at Home Depot.

On the contrary TomB, I am highly entertained. I care who votes for whom. I saw you at the GOP candidates forum in Manteca, first instinct was to ask why you were there, since the guy you supported wasn't appearing there.

Thanks Cose - you did your homework

Seems like the cutting and pasting wouldn't have been needed if you would have just admitted to voting for McNerney?
