Unfortunately, many teenagers have no concept of the future, the work it involves to survive via employment, marriage, and raising family.
He probably bought her lot of things, to seduce her. That is something parents need to be on the look out for, the items you do not recognize.
Big difference in age, child and adult.
He is the adult, he knows better, but child, does not always know what is best for themself.
Unfortunately men will seek younger and younger girls since they do not yet carry STD.
Just too many young girls being robbed of their rightful future. Parents, please talk to your sons and daughters about the predators out there. They know how to play the game. The child does not know their motives.
SAD! Too young for the baby, hard on undeveloped body.

I agree with you, give him the maximum if he is the father. Plus make damn sure he pays child support. I've known many guys from my youth who did a hit and run, leaving 100% responsibility to the mother.
This is another example what happens to guys who think with their small head and not their big head. You play, you pay.
"Police log: Father says man, 23, impregnated girl, 14."
Again, even the most ardent critics should be reminded these are proported calls made to a 911 operator.
Perhaps there should time for the proper investigative authorities to sort this all out and/or any furure charges filed with the DA.
In the court of public opinion however, this 23-year-old young man may find himself in a bit of a pickel considering the despairaging age difference (nearly 10 years).
The stepfather molesting an 11-year-old, now that's just plain creepy...
Let's get a life people...wow strawberries call 911!
When we were 23 we knew. 14 year old's do not. If the test prove he is the father then throw the book at him, if not for statuary rape then for stupidity.
True. She is not a legal adult and the adult forced her to make a wrong decision. She will probably disagree and said it was her decision, but it all hurts in the long run especially at that age. It is hard to put my feelings in words but that is thebest I can do.

Interesting case. I think it was not rape. I'm not sure what the police can do? Daughter made a mistake and the 23 y/o helped. I think you canbot be put in jail for getting the teen pregnant? I don't know!
