Students across Tracy and across the country are opening books to join in the annual Read Across America event, which honors the birthday of children’s author Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss.

Schools across the country begin their reading celebrations on March 2, Geisel’s birthday. Tracy schools will have a variety of reading events throughout the week as they join in the national celebration of Dr. Seuss’ work and reading.
