The Wolf Pack (17-9 overall, 6-3 Tri-City Athletic League) stands at No. 11 in the section, up from 13th last week, thanks in part to a victory over their closest Division I competitor in TCAL, the Edison Vikings. That game also helped drop the Vikings to 16th in the section.
TCAL leader St. Mary’s is No. 3 in the section’s Division III.
Tracy High (10-13 overall, 4-5 San Joaquin Athletics Association) is at No. 26, far from the top 16 that will go to playoffs, which begin Feb. 26.
Millennium High’s boys (13-8 overall, 9-2 Harvest Christian League) held steady at No. 15 in Division IV after winning one last week, which keeps the Falcons on a pace to make their playoffs, which begin Feb. 24.
Two local girls teams have been unable to move into the top 16. Millennium’s girls (12-10, 10-5) are 20th in Division IV, up just one place from last week. Tracy’s girls (10-14, 5-4) won one and lost one last week to drop one place to No. 21, and West’s girls (3-21, 1-7) moved up two places, to No. 28, with their first league win last week over Stagg.
