An officer at 4:38 a.m. Sunday discovered a blue Honda Accord with front-end damage abandoned near an overpass at MacArthur Drive and West 11th Street.
The car was missing its front bumper, its front right tire, and there was damage to the car’s undercarriage.
No one was around, but the cab smelled like booze, an officer said, and the engine was “still hot to the touch.” The doors were locked and a window was rolled down, and an officer saw a purse inside the car, and it had a girl’s student identification from Tracy High School. Police also found a wallet and a pea coat.
Police followed a debris trail from the car that led to an area near Dove and Egret drives, but found no signs of a car crash.
Police knocked on the door of the car’s registered owner, who refused to allow police to speak to his 17-year-old daughter. The father told police the girl was in the shower, and he “claimed he was the last driver” of the car.

2) Lock up the dirtbag daughter involved for suspicion of DUI
WHY do we continue to let these kids get away for their criminal behavior such as this. Its simply a matter of linking behavior to consequences and appropriate punishment

J. tap-dancing C. this is unbelievable.
This is a perfect example why kids are the way they are these days, no examples set by the parents, they're not held accountable for their actions. Basically, just spoiled little punks.
I'll bet the next comments will be from friends of the family saying how nice this girl is and the parents are responsible adults and we have no right judging them.
Do yourselves a favor people, save your comments cause i'm kind of tired of hearing the BS.
This girl should be arrested for DUI and the father should be cited for lying when the cops showed up at their door. Then, at 10am he calls to get info on the accident?
What kind of values are we teaching our kids? it's ok to drink and drive, cause an accident and Daddy will cover it up.
This guy gets my vote for father of the year.
The dumbs**t probably was only thinking of the jacked up insurance rates he was going to have to pay, rather than thinking of what his daughter just did and the horrible outcome that could have happened.

Having worked under similar conditions before, the woman suggested her former boss should calm down receive a shampoo, blow-dry, and a pedicure under soft lighting and some easy-listening-music, then said "by the way, that'll be $39.99"

Update!
At approx. 4:45p.m. a number of calls came in reporting that there were four teenage boys being chased by a vicious Pit bull wearing a Remax collar and holding a "sold" sign between it's teeth.
"An officer at 4:38 a.m. Sunday discovered a blue Honda Accord with front-end damage abandoned near an overpass at MacArthur Drive and West 11th Street."
A spokesperson for Charlie Sheen Inc. said, "Mr. Sheen was no where around this area during the time of the incident"
Shouldn't he be asking his daughter this instead of the authorities? LOL.
