The foundation is a nonprofit group that helps local schools get grants for supplies and projects for classrooms.
Contestants showcase their talents whether it’s singing, dancing, or other talents. Each contestant will go through auditions and approximately 15 finalists will be given the opportunity to appear in the showcase Grand Theatre Center for the Arts. The winner of the Grand Theatre showcase will receive a trophy.
Auditions will be held on three separate dates at three separate locations. Auditions will start at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 23 at George Kelly School, 535 Mabel Josephine Drive; Feb. 24 at Poet Christian, 1701 Central Ave.; and Feb. 25 at Jacobson Elementary School, 1750 W. Kavanagh Ave. The finals will be held at 7 p.m. March 20 at the Grand Theatre, 715 Central Ave.
Prices for auditions will range from between $20 to $40, depending if the contestant decides to perform solo or in a group. Solo acts are charged $20, groups of two of three performers are charged $30, and the cost for four of more people is $40.
Each contestant is given the chance to get $5 off the register fee if they sign up before Feb.18 at the Web site, TracyGotTalent@gmail.com.
Tickets for the Grand Theatre showcase will be $13.
