The boy was leaving a party on the 1800 block of Isabel Virginia Lane at about 12:20 a.m. when he was shot in the chin and the chest, according to police reports.
Tracy police have declined to release the boy’s condition or where he is being treated.
Police are speaking to “everyone they can find” who attended the party Saturday night, said Sgt. Tony Sheneman, a police spokesman.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call detective Tim Bauer, 831-6505, or Tracy Crime Stoppers, 831-6847.
Im hoping that Tracy PD puts up a REWARD for information leading to the arrest of the COWARDS responsible for the shooting.
Or perhaps the Tracy Press can help in getting the word out and help us collect funds from our community and we can put up our own REWARD.

3. If he was targeted, he would have got shot in one place or another. (It may be an assumption that he was the actual target, I don't know, I wasn't there to see if he was the only person on that side of the street or not.)

I have a few questions for you.
1. You think the party was for someone turning 18,how do you know that?
2. How do you know that the 17 year old boy would have been shot either way no matter where he was, do you know that for a fact or are you making an assumption?
3. Are you assuming that the shots fired were meant for him or could it have been for someone else he was with?
4. How do you know the person hosting the party made sure there was no alcohol there, you seem to know more about the party than most of us, did you host the party???
I have not heard or seen any of your comments on the Tracy Press, perhaps you can tell us what you know or where you are getting your information from.

Where on the Tracy Press says a girl was shot? The first shooting reported by TP says it was a 16 year old and the second report a 17 year old.
Both stories are about the same person which is actually a 17 year old male and not 16 mistakenly reported on the first story. I am in no way defending TP, but just trying to set the record straight.
I just hope that the juveniles responsible for this crime are caught and prosecuted and if their parents have knowledge of the crime and not doing anything about it, they should be procecuted just as well!
