It’s always great to see local Tracy residents trying to make it big in industries that are normally dominated by others, like in the case of Justin Philpott. But what really bothers me is seeing only one local featured and called out when there is a second — and who is, in all areas, a more accomplished driver going to the very same race that Justin will be at.
This other driver does not get the recognition, nor does he have the deep pockets that Justin’s parents have. This driver has to do everything all on his own, and yet he is still more competitive and a more accomplished driver. This other driver has even helped from time to time with not only Justin’s cars but also a number of other local drivers’ cars.
The thing is that money talks, and if this other driver had a few local sponsors that would be willing to give just a little and have their companies appear on live television, they would get their money’s worth.
Oh, by the way, this “other” driver is Ryan Philpott, older cousin to Justin and the nephew of David.
I was just re-reading your post fan1....sounds like you got all butt hurt when you were in the pits on night when you were told a few things by old man philpott in the pits. Hey...just a word of advice. The pits are for MEN! Not whining babies like you. If you are going to be in the pits. Be prepared for bad words (ya big baby), maybe a fight or two, and heated men who have poured their hard earned money into their race cars. Just a word of advice....next time don't wear your skirt to the pits or to the race track. I think the pits are for long jeans, closed toe shoes, and real men! You may have had closed toe shoes....work on the other two requirements fan1.

Look fan #1....I don't know what your issue is. But this is a good family you are trying to throw under the bus because you have some jealous hard on for them. And in closing fan #1, you made your comment at 11:10am today. Usually people are working or taking their lunch break at that time of the day....so what is your excuse? Why don't you get off mommy's computer and drive downtown on 11th street...pull into Philpott's garage and ask for one of the Philpott boys to talk to and speak your mind. That family can put two and two together and know who I am....but can they do the same with you? Probably not, cuz you don't have the cajones to let it be known. The philpotts are NOT what you think they are and not what they want people to believe. They are very selfish and rude. One of their family members actually called a kid, yed a KID a couple of bad names i can't repeat here, simply because the boy cheered for a different driver getting through a wreck that was CAUSED by non other then Philpott. The Philpott didnt fare so well, but when the boy was HAPPPY for HIS driver, he got called names by a man about 45-50 years old. Really? So, THAT"S what your backing? And shoving down people's throats.
They're a disgrace! They've also been busted cheating sooo many times and yet get away with it because the politics of the track. And, of course because they throw their MONEY AROUND. It's disgusting and really is ruining the sports attendance at the track, Stockton99. People are tired of all the cheating and bs that they do and won't go now. That's so very sad. Because it's a sport that is good and fun and all can enjoy. But, we have people like this, and it gets ruined. Then the tracks go away because no one goes and so it goes on.
So, yes, Tracy Press, keep shoving the PHILPPOTTS onto people and ignore ALL others that are IN this town and in this sport as well. That just shows what you are all about as well. But, I wish you would do the right thing.
And for the record... I am NOT a part of ANY race team! I'm just a fan.
