A 17-year-old girl called police 7:40 p.m. to say that her parents
threatened to beat her and aren’t letting her eat.
Police checked up on
the caller’s family at Stone Pine Apartments, 229 W. Grant Line Road,
and said there’s no abuse, the girl just dislikes her parents rules.
Tracy police responded to 189 calls for service on Wednesday. The following is a sample of those reports:
12:42 a.m.: Police arrested a 27-year-old man on an outstanding warrant after a caller reported a guy who had stolen a bottle of liquor last week was on his way to Ralph’s Club, 444 E. 11th St., with three others who are “known to pack weapons.” Three men were warned by police.
9:34 a.m.: A woman on the 800 block of West 10th Street said her ex-boyfriend threatened to hurt her and her children.
11:26 a.m.: A man said a vicious pit bull running loose attacked his dog on the 1800 block of Mello Court.
1:11 p.m.: Someone from Rite Aid, 1970 W. Grant Line Road, reported detaining two kids for shoplifting. They were cited and returned to West High school.
2:46 p.m.: A woman on the 400 block of West Kavanagh Avenue reported two guys were trying to break into a next-door neighbor’s vacant house after they first knocked on her door. She said she heard them kick the neighbor’s front door. When police arrived the back door was wide open.
3:19 p.m.: A caller reported someone burglarized a house on the 100 block of Forest Hills Drive.
3:23 p.m.: Someone vandalized a door on the 2100 block of Holly Drive, a caller said.
3:26 p.m.: A father asked to speak to an officer about his son “being jumped” at Tracy High School, 315 E. 11th St.
3:52 p.m.: Four boys and four girls were smoking drugs at El Pescadero Park, 250 W. Kavanagh Ave., a caller said.
4:45 p.m.: A woman said there were two boys in a silver Chevy SUV smoking drugs in front of her home on the 500 block of Magnolia Lane.
4:47 p.m.: Police arrested a 38-year-old woman on suspicion of shoplifting from JC Penny, 3100 Naglee Road. Police said she had done it before.
5:09 p.m.: A woman calling from La Costa, 240 E. 11th St., said her son got jumped as he was walking home from school.
5:12 p.m.: A caller said an employee tried to take an alleged shoplifter into custody at Rite Aid, 1970 W. Grant Line Road.
6:06 p.m.: A caller said 10 kids were writing on the picnic tables at Ray McCray Park on the 2900 block of Fieldview Drive. Someone called about 10 kids at the same park again an hour later.
7:15 p.m.: Someone flagged down a cop by 11th and East streets to report that a couple teenagers had just taken his iPod and cash.
8:55 p.m.: A woman from the 2400 block of Lincoln Boulevard said she heard a strange noise outside, looked out and saw that both her car windows had been smashed out.
