Early this morning, Ripon police officers arrested a man on suspicion of robbing a Tracy-area gas station before dawn today with two other men.
San Joaquin County sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 4:40 a.m. from a clerk at the 76 gas station at 34243 Chrisman Road, who said he was robbed at gunpoint by a man who left in a black Honda Accord.
Less than an hour later, Stockton resident Ramon Anthony Lor, 18, was detained at Highway 99 and Acacia Avenue in Ripon. During a search of his car, a gun, money and property — identified as stolen — were found, sheriff’s spokesman Les Garcia said.
Anthony and 21-year-old Sandeep Singh of Stockton were booked into San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy. Singh also had a warrant out for his arrest in Indiana.
A 17-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of conspiracy and four counts of robbery was sent to the Juvenile Justice Center in French Camp.
The owner of the gas station and the deputies had watched a surveillance video to get a physical description of the assailants, Garcia said.
