The Millennium High boys basketball team took a big lead and held on for a 51-45 win as the Eagles from Elliot Christian High threatened a fourth-quarter comeback at the Tracy Boys & Girls Clubs on Tuesday.

Coach Mike Woods said the Falcons (9-9 overall, 5-1 Harvest Christian League) had a 12-point lead in the fourth quarter, but the Eagles started to hit their shots. He added that the Eagles focused on the Falcons’ top scorer, Ruben DeLeon, but the rest of the Millennium team was able to keep scoring.

Freddy Brindopke scored 17 for the Falcons and had seven assists, Richie Raya scored 15 with five assists and Steven Percelle scored nine and pulled down 12 rebounds.
