Alissa Ann Perez and Shawn David Mayhugh, both of Tracy, will marry May 1, 2010, at Garre Winery in Livermore.

Shawn proposed to Alissa on Feb. 1, 2009, in Capitola while they celebrated their sixth anniversary at a restaurant. After he proposed, he took her outside the restaurant to see their families waiting in a limousine.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of John and Annette Perez and the sister of Denee Perez, all of Tracy. Her grandparents are Dominic and Dolores Nunes of Tracy and Ernest and Josephine Perez of Newark. Alissa received an associate degree in 2006 from San Joaquin Delta College. She teaches pre-kindergarten classes at KinderCare Learning Center in Tracy.

The groom-to-be is the son of David and Debra Mayhugh of Tracy and the brother of Jessica Mayhugh of Tracy. His grandparents are Dolores Hicks of Bethel Island, Clarene Mayhugh of Dublin and David and Jan Mayhugh of Santa Clara, and he is the great-grandson of Frank and Sarah Murillo of San Leandro. Shawn works as an operator for Four M’s Construction and Backhoe.

The couple graduated from West High School in 2004.
