Building consultant Dan Schack of Schack and Co. has for years organized free flu shots in Tracy, but this is the first year he teamed up with local doctors to give out the hard-to-come-by swine flu vaccine.
Though Schack had a seasonal flu shot clinic earlier this month where a small amount of swine flu vaccines were given, today the flu-shot clinic will focus exclusively on the swine flu vaccine.
If it’s like swine flu shot clinics held in Stockton and elsewhere in the county, there will be more people in line than there are doses for everyone, Schack said.
Police were told of the clinic so they are aware that there could be lines of both people and cars near the Beverly Place corner of the hospital at 1420 N. Tracy Blvd.
Schack said doses will be available for those aged 3 and up, as well as smaller doses for children between 6 months and 36 months old.
Schack said he plans to organize another clinic in mid-December targeting kids who need a second dose to be protected from the swine flu.
