Tracy High kicked off its homecoming week with a powder-puff football game Friday night. The school’s festivities will continue at 7 tonight with a rally. Students must show their ID and be in the gate by the time it starts.
Starting at 3 p.m. Friday, downtown streets will be green and gold during the homecoming parade. The Bulldogs will then play Chavez High, with the sophomore football game starting at 5 p.m. and the varsity kicking off at 7:30.
Also celebrating homecoming this week is Millennium. The charter high school had a dress-up day Monday and will have a rally at 6:30 p.m. today at Steve Lopez Stadium on the West High campus. At the rally, there will be a powder-puff football game and the announcement of the homecoming king and queen. Millennium will have its homecoming dance from 7 to 10 p.m. on campus.
Millennium will have a parade in downtown Tracy at 2 p.m. Saturday, after which its football team will face Rite of Passage at 7 p.m. at Steve Lopez Stadium.
Kimball, Tracy’s newest high school, is celebrating Jaguar Spirit Week. On Monday, the school had a pajama day and pillow fight. On Tuesday, Jaguars had to find a look-alike for the day and participate in a three-legged race. Today, Kimball students will have a “wild” day, in which students are expected to go crazy with their wardrobe. Then on Thursday, students will wear animal prints to show of their Jaguar pride.
The school will be decked out in orange and blue for a dress-up day and a rally on Friday. At 5:30 p.m. that day, the freshman football team will face Liberty Ranch, with the sophomore game at 7:30.
West High’s homecoming week will start Oct. 28, with a rally at 7 p.m. The freshmen football team will face Stagg on Thursday, with the sophomores and varsity playing on Friday. At 3 p.m. Friday, West will have its homecoming parade in downtown Tracy.
