Police log: Suspected drunken driver arrested

Police arrested a 25-year-old man on a suspicion of drunken driving and a 19-year-old woman on four outstanding warrants after a traffic stop at 7:09 p.m. Monday 10th Street and Holly Drive. A four-door Mercedes was towed, and the pair were booked into the San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.

The Tracy Police Department received 171 calls for service on Monday. The following is a sample of those calls:

12:20 a.m.: A woman on the 1000 block of West Ninth Street whispered into the phone to police that two men kept peering into her home.

5:50 a.m.: A man on the 200 block of West 21st Street reported a guy tried to break his fence down and then ran off. He put the fence back in place.

7:18 a.m.: A caller on the 500 block of West Schulte Road reported someone broke three outdoor lamps worth $150 each.

10:44 a.m.: Two cars were broken into and things were stolen out of them on the 100 block of Wisteria Lane, a caller reported.

12:42 p.m.: A caller reported a big-rig and trailer were stolen from Tracy Truck and Auto, 3940 N. Tracy Blvd.

1:04 p.m.: A caller reported possible drugs dealing going on at a home where “there is a lot of foot traffic” on the 1700 block of Askren Court.

1:37 p.m.: A caller on the 800 block of Kennedy Place reported a gray 1990 Toyota Camry was stolen.

1:53 p.m.: A man on the 700 block of Heritage Place reported his 13-year-old stepson punched him in the face. Police talk to kid, and the stepfather declined to pursue prosecution.

2:55 p.m.: A caller reported eight boys and girls were in Ceciliani Park, 1600 Cypress Drive, possibly drinking booze and smoking drugs.

3:29 p.m.: A man on the 900 block of West Sixth Street reported a group of kids playing in his front yard refused to leave when he asked them to.

4:01 p.m.: A woman on the 800 block of Everglades Court reported kids who live around the corner from her broke her fence.

4:08 p.m.: A man reported his Ford Aerostar was missing from the parking lot of FoodMaxx, 3225 N. Tracy Blvd. It turned out the minivan was towed.

4:33 p.m.: A caller started screaming before the line went dead, and when she called back, she complained her husband is accusing her of having a boyfriend. She said she was afraid because he threatened to take their child back to the Philippines.

5:16 p.m.: A man reported a tire on his 2002 Ford Explorer was slashed when it was parked in the lot of the Shamrock, 125 W. 11th St.

5:20 p.m.: A caller reported a crate full of vegetables in the intersection at Corral Hollow and Grant Line roads. Police took away a “small amount of produce” and a cardboard box.

5:30 p.m.: A caller reported a guy drinking a beer behind the wheel of a Honda Accord cut off the caller at 11th Street and Lammers Road. Police couldn’t find the Honda.

6:07 p.m.: A caller reported a “longhorn” was loose on Corral Hollow Road and Interstate 580.

8:29 p.m.: A caller reported his blue 1988 Honda Accord was stolen from Costco, 3250 W. Grant Line Road.

8:32 p.m.: A caller reported hearing three gunshots at Schulte Road and Tracy Boulevard. The noise turned out to be from a tow truck driver “dropping his trailer.”

8:37 p.m.: A caller on the 900 block of North Hickory Avenue reported his 71-year-old grandfather was not breathing. The caller father gave the man CPR, but he died and the coroner’s office was called.

8:41 p.m.: A caller complained about six kids playing football in the street at Bonsai Avenue and Violet Place, throwing the ball at the stop sign and being loud.

8:43 p.m.: A woman reported someone threw a rock at a window of her place at the Sycamore Village Apartments, 400 W. Central Ave.

9:44 p.m.: An “elderly” woman on the 1700 block of Horse Shoe Loop reported people kept ringing her doorbell, but when her husband looked outside, no one was ever there.
