EDITOR,

Are you mad yet?

I believe that we have a reasonable expectation that our federal government will spend our hard-earned tax dollars with the best intentions, right? Our tax dollars have been going to fund ACORN. Recent undercover videos reveal that this “community organizing” group is giving criminal advice.

This is not limited to one office or one group but is spread across the country, from Baltimore to Los Angeles. This behavior is not limited to those caught on the camera. This is a “corporate culture” of corruption.

How could we let any money go into any part of this organization without investigation? How could we trust the results of the other tentacles of ACORN’s “work” in the community?

This organization is under indictment and investigation in 15 states. Any reasonable person would say stop. Yet, we had many in the House of Representatives and 11 in the Senate who voted not to stop?

Why? The big media has basically ignored this story.

How come the vast recourses within CBS, NBC, ABC, the New York Times and the Los Angeles Times did not uncover any of this? Why, when asked about the breaking ACORN story when it was already one week old, did Charlie Gibson of ABC have no clue?

When asked about ACORN on the Sunday morning talk shows, our president said that he was “... not aware of ACORN and didn’t know that it was receiving a large amount of federal dollars ... frankly, it is not the focus of my attention...”

He worked for ACORN! It was a major point in his pre-election resume! He was an organizer, trainer and attorney. You bet he is following this story — it’s pretty close to home!

Are you mad yet?

A recent undercover audio released recently shows two members of the White House asking artists with the National Endowment for the Arts to generate art that supports very specific programs for the administration: health, education, energy — does this bring to mind Soviet and Maoist art?

Of course, the NEA is funded with your tax dollars.

Are you mad yet?

We have a government that is not repetitive to the people and is interested in one goal only — the promotion of its own power at our expense. It is no wonder that there are “angry mobs” marching on Washington, D.C., and Sacramento.

• Editor’s note: The House of Representatives voted 345-75 and the Senate voted 85-11 to strip ACORN of its federal funding. ACORN had received $53.6 million in federal money since 1994.

You have to remember that a group like this sholdn't be giving out loans. This is worse than AIG.

Many democrats are attempting damage control by saying this is a plot being done to 'beat voters over the head in retaliation for their vote'.

Nothing could be further from the truth. They made their own bed. The videos and the response to the videos prove it.

This is not a story about just one bad nut, folks. It's a story about corruption from the top down.

The people are concerned about to leaders who support these NUTS. We may have discovered how all the bailout money all too easily comes and goes.

Everybody raise their hand that realizes if Bush had ties to Acorn, Pelosi, the majority of the media, and every other lefty, would turn over every grain of sand to find a direct connection and get him impeached or thrown in jail.

I tried to give Obama a chance, but he is a liar and this is one of the most corrupt group of individuals we have ever had in Washington.

You have to be naive or blind to believe in 20 years Obama never sat in Rev Wrights church when he was spewing his anti-American and anti white rants.

You also have to be naive or blind to beleive him when he told George Stephanapoulas he didn't even realize Acorn was getting federal money and acted like he was unaware of what was going on.

Watch the interview.

He worked with Acorn, he said they were going to be at the table to help decide the so called fundemental changes he was going to make to this country, they helped put him in office, yet he doesn't realize what's going on with that organization?

Joe Wilson was right - LIAR!!

Shelly13 ... i am not sure what you would be saying with "what's the difference ...?"

If you can't see the nature of the enterprise that is called Acorn then you need to go back and review the story.

It's your tax dollars ... it really doesn't matter what party ...

Where are the government watchdogs who minds the checks and balances? How did this get so big that it will eventually consume USA Reserves?

How did this corruption become so rampant?

Perhaps we should send all the politicians to China for evaluation, why not, they outsourced all our jobs and medical research funds...so outsource the politicians for ethical evaluation! I bet hardly any will return after being found to have dirty hands??

This is what happens when liberals scream for only "slap on the hands" for their version of humane right treatments.... thanks for nothing... you special interest promoted nothing for the citizens of America!!!

Law and Order, what is that?
