I thought I read about the boys being orphand, then they stated the the driver's mom had passed away not too long ago. Where is the other boys mom and dad? What are their thoughts about this? Are they as careless as the sister or....?

I am seriouse, we need to have the parents input on this matter then we will know how the kids were raised and then we wil know what the trouble in this boys life to take off like that at a crime scene and also the trouble that leads the sister to cuss and the other person who says they know them as well to be so heartless. Something is wrong with this family. I hope the parents are different. The mother plays an important role in this and I think we need to ask her. So unknown209, what does your mom think about this? Where does she stand with all of this happening in your life?

first of all, I would like to send my condolences to those who have lost a loved one, especially to his three daughters. No one deserves to die like this. Its true, we all die eventualy but this is probably the least expected way to die.

itsTheanswer, you should do a couple of things, first of all, try to fix your language. No wonder these kids did the things they did, being around you explains. Please do some research about the court system and you will c. I wish you guys luck on all. It seems like your brother has got himself in a very big mess, even if he wasn't the driver, he isn't any less innocent. Someone should look into the brothers life, why did he do the thing he did? Something must have led him to do this, right. Maybe he has a very troubled life? Maybe he is into drugs, maybe he is not, who knows. The only way we will find out is if someone researches about him.

There really is not a good way to take this problem, for both parties. Inconveniences that are being brought up from these commentary remarks are childish. Mercedes party, being a native of Tracy or at least the neighborhood should know the local street signs/signals. At the age of 16 the rules of the road should still be fresh. None of you really know what is going through the kids mind right now. Someone else's death on your hands is a heavy burden for anyone to deal with. Even if it was from poor judgment and a accidental mishap. All I can say for you is this is the time to grow up and man up and accept that what you did was wrong, no matter how you look at it you blew the stop sign. The Honda could of been filled with illegal subtances,guns, knives and whatever else you people want to say. As long as the Honda was following the rules of the road then therefore Mercedes is to blame. Unfortunatly he, if convictied will only serve a minimum of the maxium sentence. Mainly because of his age.

All of you who are getting mad about this, should take the time that you are wasting on here and put it to some good use. Remember the one you lost and forgive those who caused harm. I am sure no one set out on that dreadful day to cause the pain that happend. I know sorry wont change anything, but dont let this consume you. Life still goes on and from what you all can see from this it's way too short to waste.

it was not stolen

the kids in the SUV were not drunk

the car was not stolen! please get that thru ur heads. registraction and ownership was checked by police at the time of the accident

One thing I did not see here or in the other articles....(maybe I'm wrong, correct me if it says it somewhere), but was everyone in both cars wearing seatbelts? If the people in the Honda were not, that might explain some of why their injuries were so bad... If the SUV was not going as fast as we have all thought and they were not wearing seatbelts, that could explain a lot. It will be interesting to see what the investigation brings...so we wait....

do u guys know what the bottom line of all this is? that there is 3 people at the hospital still, 1 is DEAD, and that there is 3 girls w/o a dad? tell me how do u fix that? how do u bring their DAD back? while u r home with your parents, nothing of all this would of happened if you would pay more attention to the road when u were driving that SUV.
