EDITOR,

I was born in this country, and my family goes back several generations. My grandfather fought in World War I, and I have relatives who fought and died in World War II. So do we love our country? You bet we do!

We have all been very strong Republicans. However, we are no longer part of this party. We feel that our great party died with Dwight Eisenhower.

The Republican Party at one time was a party of honesty and integrity. We feel that this party has been destroyed by people like Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Riley and congressmen who justify their radical behavior by being disrespectful.

They are dividing our country. So they don’t like President Obama — well, he was elected to be our president. So you Republicans out there, start utilizing your energies to help our country get out of this terrible mess that we are facing. Give this man a chance.

Let’s face it. He inherited a war and a large deficit.

All we can say is that this Republican Party better get some sane people to run the party, or this party is doomed. They hide behind religion, which is a farce — their morals aren’t any better than anyone else’s.

What does it matter what affiliation you have attached to your name? For politicians it only matters in November. Joe Wilson was more an American than all of them combined. Everybody else was afraid to speak up. Don't tell me Liberals can appreciate silence. They got what they were asking.

He doesn't sound like a Republican because he's not. Did you read the letter?

Kept thinking about Eisenhower's Farewell Address since I read up on it. Guess he saw the writing on the wall. Sigh. If only the course of history were smarter!

What gives you and the Democratic Party to talk about honesty and integrity.

Thank God (no he's not a farce) for Hannity, O'Reilly and Limbaugh... you forgot the #1 Glenn Beck by the way.

BHO was elected thanks to ACORN (have you not seen their latest fraud? Why dont you update yourself with REALITY by checking out this criminal group that got BHO elected. http://www.breitbart.com/

Broaden your knowledge. I mean seriously, Eisenhower was out the door in 1961
