I agree totally. Maybe there is evil in this world and that is a simple answer, but I don't believe in curses, voodoo, or the other so I am compelled to examine such things through science and psychology.
I really think that there ad to be a series of events, or some single trauma to disconnect a person from their humanity. I liken the baby killer label on american forces in vietnam...I do not doubt that a sad few( and worse a large few) did some attrocities. Did America breed baby killers, is it in our institutional enculturations? I think not. But, one could understand horrid actions(not condone)committed by those traumatized, thus conditioned to a disconnect.
To hurt humans, in my opinion, is to hate humans. I try to figure when MH gave up her humanity and thus became its enemy.
And yes, I pity her. She has left our family and her actions make it so that she cannot ever be invited back in. That is pathetic.
From the MH article...
At what point will we stop being wisdom spouting busy-bodies in this incident?
It was horrible.
Yet so many act as if they knew this poor child and this was a personal assault.
I think rather than spouting hate( which is not the opposite of love, the opposite is indifference, when we actively hate we give a passion of our to the target. Who wishes to give MH any of our attention?), we should donate to charity, volunteer at a childrens ward in a hospital, call schools and ask how many kids need back packs, lunches, shoes, etc.
If we saw Sandra walk by, and she was hungry, poorly clothed, in need of a mentor...Who would have stepped up in her life?
So many act like they are a part of this case. Did anyone ensure she had a happy birthday? Will we help those children in need, when in need? Or will we wait for another tragedy and then act like we care for children?
