This letter goes out to the parents who are taking over the car spaces that directly face the front doors of the Lolly Hansen Senior Center on Ninth Street.
There are two very large signs on the lawn there that read: “Village Garden Apartments tenant parking. Unauthorized vehicles will be towed at owner’s expense.”
Not only do we, as tenants, use these five spaces, but we gladly share them with the home health aides who assist the sick, family and friends visiting their loves ones, nurses who at times visit their shut-in clients and pastors who also pay visits to tenants.
So I ask the parents who are parking in the senior village garden spaces to please make arrangements elsewhere to pick up your teens. When you park in our spaces, it means someone who lives here has to park farther away from their unit. Keep in mind that many Village Garden tenants have serious health problems.
By taking these spaces, you are breaking the law that protects the elderly and those with disabilities.
I have recovered from a serious stroke in 2008 — I also suffer from multiple sclerosis. Not a day goes by that I don’t thank God for my recovery from the stroke.
Please have some consideration for our car spaces, which are also on private property. Please think before abusing the law. Doing the right thing will always turn out for the best.

Had a small wasp nest buildin by my front door.
Ah, what th heck, leave em alone an it won't be any trouble.
So while I could have done somethin about it I didn't. Kind of like th warnin signs that apparently just take up space in th ground an no one pays em much attention.
But one day I walked out an whammo, right on my cheek. A little closer an th little bugger would have blinded me.
So, after seein th problem I actually caused by my failure ta act responsibly, I finally drove over ta th hardware store, bought th wasp spray an exterminated em.
Had I don't that in th first place I wouldn't have had that nasty lookin swollen face fer a couple of days.
Next time ya see someone parkin thair illegally, take action. Call th tow truck company an demonstrate ta th driver that parked thair yer gonna do what yer sign says yer gonna do.
Some people just gotta be stung before they change thair ways.
An believe me, when they pay th two truck driver an th impound yard th fees ta bail their car out their gonna feel stung an probably won't do th same thing again.

Typing what I see JFAEL to verify I am human.
Think about it, rethink your priorities in the messages you are sending to your teens.
Thank you.

While I understand an agree with th letter writer, it seems ta me they ought to be doin what they say they will do with th signs they have posted.
I am sure th towtruck companies would appreciate th increase in business an that would probably solve th problem quicker than anythin else.
Now, while we're on th topic of illegal parkin, what's with th illegal parkin between th no parkin signs every weekend next ta th Clover Discovery School over on Holly.
Dang it, it's clearly marked an th folks parkin thair cars their don't seem ta care. An PD who could very easily write tickets fer th infractions don't seem ta be keepin th problem at bay.
An while we're on traffic, what's with all th J-Walkin over on Central between 10th an 9th?
Isn't J-walkin not only dangerous but illegal? Why when one of th store patrons drags thair kids across th street right in front of a patrol car can't th cop write em a ticket?
We gonna wait ta hear th sob stories when someone gets runover before we do somethin about it?
Parkin, J-walkin, kid drop-offs at school, seems it's gettin worse instead of better. Guess no one cares much until it affects them personally.
