Today’s Remember When “mystery photo” shows two men standing on a temporary platform near Tracy in August 1951. Who were the men, and what was the occasion?

Last week’s Remember When “mystery photo” showed Bob Palous, first principal of West High School, looking over construction of Tracy’s second comprehensive high school in June 1992. West High was opened in the fall of 1993. Identifying Palous were Jason Noll (present Tracy High principal), Richard Giambastini, Joe Lawrence, Carrie Cardoza and Bonnie Bardenhagen. Several responders thought the person looked a lot like Robin Blakley, who was development director for Tracy Public Schools at that time.
