Tracy fire crews quickly put out a grass fire off West Schulte Road near the Tracy Peaker Plant on Thursday afternoon.
Afternoon winds pushed the fire near buildings as it hopped a road and burned near railroad tracks. Tracy crews from Tracy’s fire department and the state knocked the fire down in about half an hour.
