A parent in southern Tracy reported at 9:51 a.m. Tuesday that a 12-year-old boy sexually abused the caller’s 3-year-old son.

The caller said the child was checked out by a doctor for a rash on his genitals, and it was unknown when or where the boy was molested.

But the caller said the 12-year-old admitted to molesting a nephew.

The Tracy Police Department received 291 calls for service Tuesday. The following is a sample of those calls.

12:13 a.m.: A guy reported six kids hanging out in a park on Golden Leaf Lane threatened him. Police found three and warned them.

12:46 a.m.: A caller reported two guys were smoking drugs in a Dodge Ram pickup at Antonia Loop and Camelia Drive. Police questioned the guys, who said they had smoked pot earlier, but a search turned up no “contraband” and no arrests were made.

2:55 p.m.: A caller reported hearing someone yelling for help inside a home on the 200 block of Hawthorne Drive. Police said a child saw a spider and screamed.

4:31 a.m.: A woman reported she woke up to find her 14-year-old daughter missing from her home on the 200 block of Diego Lane. She said her husband last saw the girl at about 10 p.m. The girl was found at a friend’s home nearby and “counseled … about the dangers of walk at night alone.”

10:52 a.m.: A 32-year-old woman on the 200 block of Camelot Drive called 9-1-1 and then hung up. When police called back, the woman said she was seven months pregnant and “think her water broke.” She said she was unsure if she’s pregnant but think she’s seventh months along, and that if she “walks around without water the baby inside the baby will die.” The woman said she was mentally ill, and police went out to check on her over her mother’s objections.

12:44 p.m.: A man on the 1400 block of Brighton Drive reported his newspaper has been stolen for the past three weeks.

2:39 p.m.: A caller reported neighbor’s kids were throwing rocks at him on the 500 block of East Seventh Street. The kids went into their home, he said.

2:51 p.m.: A guy at Central Avenue and 10th Street said a woman in blue pants and a brown T-shirt hit him and vandalized his bike, then took off.

She thought there might also be child abuse going on. Police got there and smelled a “strong odor” of marijuana, but the mother wasn’t high and the kid appeared healthy.

We don't know all the facts of this case. Dealt with wrongly there could be two boys destroyed. One treated as a victim forever and the other as a sex perp. Authorities will look into the case and hopefully make the right decisions.

A twelve year old melesting a three yr old is not normal. if the children were much younger and or closer in age it would be a diffrent story. Developmentally young children about are curious about their bodies and others bodies. The twelve yr old is at a maturity level where this is a issue the twelve yr old needs to get some help is a criminal probably not should he be treated like one no does he need help yes. His childhood also needs to be looked at maybe he is repeating a behavior he has expierenced. But this is not normal and the age diffrences definately indicates a problem.

Tinfoil? How can you say that a 12 year old molesting a 3 YEAR OLD IS NORMAL!!!! That is nowhere near normal! You obviously don't have kids, or a baby! If ANY 12 year old kid molested my 3 year old baby I would treat him just like an adult!

to kinaam66: The awful truth is that all seek supremecy. We are designed for this thru evolution dating back to the first micro organisms that swam in ancient seas billions of years ago. This is reality we must acknowledge. Those 'on top' today will change positions with those at the bottom tomorrow. And then what? The cycle begins anew repeated ad infintum. Must we war 'gainst one-another till the stars turn dark and cold? What you speak of is'nt racism. It's opportunists creating war to benefit themselves.

As usual the Tracy red necks are jumping to their own conclusions. If we take a non biased look at the article, it asks questions which many are asking, is there racial profiling in our country or not, regardless of the facts and opinions, which vary, regarding the Gates incident. In that particular case, the police misquoted the 911 caller who did not say a black guy was breaking in, whereas the police did presume the same, which in itself is police bias if you ask me. Those who maintain that the police are always superior enough to hold no prejudice against minorities are full of horse manure, or should I say, cow manure, which is what Tracy is known for, and which you can smell a mile off when the populalists appear, on and off line! Maybe if we got our heads out of our behinds long enough, we could stop throwing stones at those who offer liberal opinions and get down to the business of cleansing the country of white supremacy rather than targeting minorities?

I hope this is handled well by all-concerned. Sounds like the 12 year old got caught up in either experimentation or a testosteron-storm,typical for his age group. There was no mention of penetration and the rash may be unconnected to the so-called molestation. When I was 13 years old the next door neighbor boy (same age) and I were playing hide & seek underneath an orange tree. He busted off a branch from the orange tree, told me to take off my pants and not to look. So I kept my eyes closed till I felt his mouth on my genitals. I opened my eyes,he poked me with the stick yelling "I told you to keep your eyes closed". This was 1959. I had no idea what the heck was going on. Years later the boy became a U.S. Marine, distinguished himself in Vietnam then married and fathered three wonderful children. That's what this case sounds like. Childhood experimentation. The WORST thing that all-concerned can do in a case like this is go ballistic and accuss the 12 year old of being a pervert.
