Angel Rodriguez, who for a decade worked for a San Leandro vending machine company and lived in Tracy, was driving a company car when the suspect or suspects stole the vehicle and ran him over during their escape, Oakland police said.
Rodriguez died from blunt force trauma in a hospital that same day, according to police.
Investigators have yet to make any arrests in the case, and haven’t released details about the suspects or about the company Rodriguez worked for.
Rodriguez is survived by his 13-year-old son.
