Women’s monthly dinner

Fireworks tickets
From now until July 3, the Tracy Chamber of Commerce will sell “pre-sale” tickets to its Fourth of July fireworks show at the Tracy High School football stadium.
Gates to Wayne Schneider Stadium will open at 6 p.m. July 4, and attendees can see the Sidewayz8 Band perform from 7 to 9 p.m.
The fireworks will begin at 9:20 p.m.
Buying tickets in advance will allow attendees to avoid long ticket lines on the day of the show.
Tickets — $3 for adults, $2 for children ages 2 through 12, and $1 for seniors — can be bought from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the chamber office, 223 E. 10th St.

Prepare for emergency
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will host a community emergency preparedness fair from 4 to 8 p.m. June 27 at 1981 Chester Drive.
Law enforcement, charities and volunteer groups will discuss how to prepare for emergencies, and people can sign up for first-aid classes, CPR training and ham radio training. Parents can also get DNA and fingerprint kits for their children.

Hispanic chamber awards dinner
The San Joaquin County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will have its annual installation of officers and awards dinner next month.
No-host cocktails begin at 6 p.m. July 10, and dinner follows at 6:45 p.m. at the Lexington Plaza Waterfront Hotel, 110 W. Fremont St., in Stockton.
Business attire is recommended, and tickets are $150 per person or $1,200 per table.

E-waste and other recycling
Tracy, San Joaquin County and Onsite Electronics will sponsor a free recycling event where people can get rid of old electronic junk as well as Styrofoam and cardboard.
Car batteries, packing “peanuts” or bubble wrap are not allowed at the event, which will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 11 at Gate 1 of the Boyd Service Center, 520 Tracy Blvd.
