EDITOR,

I can not believe this City Council voted to charge residents $300 for medical calls.

What makes this council believe that the people of this city have extra cash to spend on something like this? Will the city take people to court or file a lien on their house if they do not pay?

I think this city pays some of its department heads way too much money. Take the money from their salaries. I already have too many things added to my taxes that I pay every year, and I do not think I should have to pay for the city’s mistake. If I have to pay any fees, it will be to a lawyer to repeal this decision.

Thank you, Steve Abercrombie, for voting no on this subject. There are no sacred cows here — everyone is hurting in this economy. I am just able to stay above water, while my house is underwater in the ocean. If these council members make more decisions like this, more people will consider leaving this town.

There goes more tax revenue leaving this city.

Come the next election for city officials, put a check next to Steve Abercrombie's name.

The other 4 incumbents? Let them go out and look for jobs, they don't have a future in politics in Tracy.
