The baby hit his head, and was flown to the UC Davis Medical Center, where medical workers said the baby’s injuries “do not follow the parents story.”
‘The injuries seem more like child abuse,” a medical center worker said.
Tracy police responded to 206 calls for service on Wednesday. The following is a sample of those reports:
12:49 a.m.: A woman on the 1500 block of Deer Run Drive reported her husband’s ex-girlfriend was driving around the neighborhood and stopped in front of her house. She said the former girlfriend also calls her husband’s phone “continually now.”
4:47 a.m.: A caller asked police to check around the 200 block of Lowell Avenue for people who were allegedly stealing recyclables. Police found the suspects and warned them.
5:31 a.m.: A caller reported graffiti was spray painted “all over the campus” at Freiler School, 2421 W. Lowell Ave. It didn’t appear to be gang graffiti, the caller added.
7:13 a.m.: A woman on the 2000 block of Betty Lane reported vandalism to her car.
8:19 a.m.: An ambulance took a girl to the hospital after a caller reported she was lying on the soccer field during a physical education class and “non-responsive.”
11:04 a.m.: Firefighters went to West High School, 1775 W. Lowell Ave., on a report of a gas leak. The problem was taken care of.
11:05 a.m.: A man reported someone was using his credit card number to buy stuff at Wal-Mart, 3010 W. Grant Line Road, even though the credit card was still in his possession.
11:29 a.m.: A man reported a woman in a Toyota Tacoma rear-ended his Toyota Camry and took off from Corral Hollow and Grant Line roads. The guy “chased her down,” and found her at Corral Hollow Road and Foothill Ranch Drive, where he got her license plate number and gave it to police. Her car was registered to someone on the 1700 block of Harvest Landing Lane. The woman turned out to he five months pregnant and a diabetic, but she declined an ambulance.
12:29 p.m.: A caller reported seeing a guy in his 20s jump a few fences into the yards of homes on the 2900 block of Campbell lane.
2:21 p.m.: A guy in a silver vehicle crashed into a car on the 1900 block of Egret Drive and took off running, a caller said. Police later received several calls, including one who said three guys flagged her down and told her to get out of her car. Police eventually detained two men and arrested them. One was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp on charges of carrying a dagger, resisting arrest and having drug paraphernalia. The other was released.
2:32 p.m.: A caller from Pacific Pre Cut Produce, 100 W. Valpico Road, reported graffiti was spray painted on a sound wall for the third or fourth time.
3:03 p.m.: A caller on the 4300 block of Oakridge Drive said they requested someone to come out from a door company for a garage door repair estimate. The caller he told the workman who came out he’d think about it before agreeing to hire him, but that the caller was pushed and “told he had to accept the bid and pay now.” The workman also made racial remarks, the caller said.
5:25 p.m.: A caller reported a woman on the 1600 block of Sequoia Boulevard was drunk and threatening suicide. The caller said the woman was depressed about losing her husband, and she “wants to join him.” The woman told police she never threatened suicide.
4:27 p.m.: A caller from Save Mart, 875 S. Tracy Blvd., reported two boys about 14-years old asked him if he wanted to buy “Triple Cs,” slang for a cough suppressant that can supposedly can spark hallucinations when taken in high doses. Police arrested two 13-year-old boys and a 12-year-old boy and released them to the custody of their parents.
6:45 p.m.: A reported her car was burglarized on the 2400 block of Naglee Road.
7:29 p.m.: A man reported a burglary after he and his wife returned home to find stuff all over the floor of their home on the 500 block of Clarence Bromell Street.
7:27 p.m.: A caller complained that music at the circus at the West Valley Mall, 3200 Naglee Road, was too loud and “hurting peoples ears.” The caller said patrons told circus employees but they refused to turn it down. Animal rights protesters were picketing the circus, and “playing vulgar music,” one report said, so the circus pointed its speakers toward the protesters. Both sides quieted down about a half-hour later.
7:31 p.m.: A caller reported a group of adults were playing softball in a park for children at the Galli Family Park, 2341 W. Lowell Ave., and that the caller’s parents were almost hit with softballs as they sauntered down a walkway. The caller asked the adults to move to a bigger park, but an officer said it was OK for them to play on the field where the game was. But the officer asked the softball players to be more careful.
8:03 p.m.: A caller said a guy in his early 20s was walking door-to-door near O’Neil Court and Russell Street “asking for money to help fund the police department.” The caller said she spoke with her neighbors, and that the guy gave each person a different story. She thought he might be casing the neighborhood so he could later steal from homes.
8:18 p.m.: A caller from Tracy Liquors, 1220 W. 11th St., reported two guys got in a fight inside the store and broke a bunch bottles.
8:33 p.m.: A boy reported his mother dropped her wallet at West High School, 1775 W. Lowell Ave., and that someone was using her “ID and cards.”
8:58 p.m.: A caller from Melrose Manor on the 2900 Sunset Way reported a 1997 Buick Parke Avenue was stolen. The car has a scratch all the way around it, the caller said.
9:24 p.m.: A caller reported someone broke into a car at Fitness 19, 2311 N. Tracy Blvd.
10:39 p.m.: A caller reported four kids spray painted graffiti on the pavement in front of the caller’s home on the 1300 block of Evergreen Way.

Lots of that in snowy weather, and in homes poorly built floors and carpets. Steps, too.
But keep and eye on them, though. If there were visible former bruises, and signs of healed bones via x-rays, then you have a case.

You know, a circus has a lot of animals and where there are animals there are going to be flies. Anyone know where I'm heading with this? I think the animal rights people should give the circus people fly traps, similiar to the one PETA is going to send to the President, so they could trap then release those flies without having to kill them.
Not wanting to think badly of people for fear of having to cite them... the TPD waiting eagerly for their money.
