Alex proposed to Ashley in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle in Disneyland on Ashley’s birthday in November 2007. A crowd of people waiting for the fireworks show applauded and congratulated the couple.
Ashley is the daughter of Bill and Stephanie Daniels of Tracy. Her grandparents are Walt and Jan Siders of Rio Linda, and Sam and the late Biddie Daniels of Tracy. Ashley is majoring in criminal justice with a minor in psychology at California State University, Sacramento. She expects to graduate in the fall.
Alex is the son of Doreena Martinez and Gregory Barrett of Oakland. He is an apartment maintenance manager in Sacramento. Alex has two brothers, Michael Medina and Gregory Barrett, and one sister, Vanessa Moldonado. Alex graduated from Redwood High School in Castro Valley.
They will make their home in Sacramento with their dog, Tyson, and cat, Chance.
