A man told police he needed an ambulance to take his wife to an emergency room in Manteca because she was “seeing demons” at 11:21 a.m. Thursday.

The man, calling from Clarence Bromell Street, said his wife was in the master bedroom stuffing towels into the toilet. He defended his wife’s sanity.

Tracy police responded to 192 calls for service Thursday. The following is a sampling of those reports:

12:15 a.m.: A caller said some guys in a Toyota pickup stole a street sign for Amber Court and Village Drive.

12:36 a.m.: Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of drunken driving after he drove past a cop near Costa Court and Duncan Drive and was spotted throwing what could have been drugs out the window.

1:42 a.m.: Some parents on the 2400 block of Chambers Court called “very upset and crying” because their 3-month-old baby had stopped breathing. An ambulance showed up 10 minutes later to transport the child to Sutter Tracy Community Hospital.

2:39 a.m.: Police arrested a 27-year-old man in a blue Chevy pickup after he was pulled over outside Rite Aid, 1970 W. Grant Line Road.

4:23 a.m.: A caller reportedly saw a woman on the ground “screaming for help” with a man on top of her on the 1500 block of Lincoln Boulevard. Police showed up nearly 15 minutes later and found an unconscious woman on the ground. They kept searching for the man and sent the woman to the hospital.

8:19 a.m.: A white Chevy Silverado pickup crashed into another car near Centre Court and Racquet drives. No one was seriously hurt.

8:36 a.m.: A woman seven months pregnant said her boyfriend showed up at her place and slapped her and punched his brother-in-law on the 1700 block of Parker Avenue. Police arrested the boyfriend.

10 a.m.: A motorist called to report that another car hit hers near Grant Line and Naglee roads by the Interstate 205 on-ramp.

10:47 a.m.: A woman reported that a prowler was hiding “in her bushes with a gun” on the 100 block of West 12th Street. Police said the woman called several times and was at the police station the day before about the same problem. She’s mentally ill, police said.

11:14 a.m.: A caller reported a burglary on the 1400 block of Olivia Court. Someone apparently used a screwdriver to break into the back door before ransacking the bedroom, according to police logs.

12:21 p.m.: A caller said the Oakland Police Department told him to call Tracy police to follow up about his home being burglarized. The caller said someone was cashing his checks at Kragen’s, 3323 N. Tracy Blvd.

12:21 p.m.: A caller reported seeing a man punch a woman in a wheelchair outside Sunset Liquors, 2355 Parker Ave.

12:34 p.m.: A caller reported that someone stole a 2005 Honda motorcycle from the 400 block of Toni Lane.

12:44 p.m.: Police arrested a 64-year-old man on suspicion of petty theft on the 2700 block of Bentley Lane.

1:39 p.m.: A caller from the 300 block of Charlemagne Court said his son was “beat up” and that he wants police to arrest those who did it.

1:47 p.m.: Two cars collided but no one was injured at the intersection of Taft Avenue and 10th Street.

2:27 p.m.: Police arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of felony vandalism on the 2300 block of Brittany Lane.

2:44 p.m.: A caller asked for extra patrol at Mars Pet Care, 450 E. Grant Line Road, because the business has had ongoing problems with a laid-off employee who threatened to kill himself if he ever lost his job. The caller said the man has guns and lives in Stockton. Someone from a Stockton temp agency said she spoke with the man that day and that he didn’t sound suicidal.

4:28 p.m.: A woman said her 14-year-old daughter had consensual sex with her brother’s 19-year-old friend, who’s in a band with him. The mom said she understands the sex was consensual but that it’s statutory rape and she wants police help.

5:12 p.m.: A caller complained about some kids riding their bicycles on the 2900 block of Kennington Court “being rude and playing loud … vulgar music” on stereos attached to the bikes.

5:14 p.m.: Police arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of petty theft on the corner of Grant Line Road and Parker Avenue.

6 p.m.: Police arrested a 33-year-old woman from the 900 block of East Street.

6:10 p.m.: A caller reported that someone had sprayed graffiti on the Triad Medical Office, 2156 W. Grant Line Road.

8:27 p.m.: An armed robbery victim from Tracy took off in a car after the people who robbed him until the California Highway Patrol took over the chase. It took them over the Altamont Pass and into Dublin, where police tasered the suspects. The home invasion robbery happened somewhere near Corral Hollow and Cypress roads, but the caller didn’t have the exact street name. Police arrested three people.

Thank You C & P or CP as you wish to be called; I wonder what it's like if I had an extra left-sided brain to bant about?

Anyway.., as I recall there used to be more contributors to the police log and would like to see some of the old names return...it's nice too be able to comment on 'each other's stuff' without being taken too seriously. However I do feel there is some sort of void we must (all) be filling during this particular time of modern analogus human oddities.

You've done well to hang-in-there so long, yoursel(s). Moreover, relating to you (two?) is a similar sensation I get when I'm speaking to a person with one crocked eye - I don't know to whom I'm actually addressing?

So my typical response is to ackwardly stare down at the ground while and shuffling my feet and mumbling like James Dean...

(*!*)

*She was infatuated with the city's logo of, "Thinking Inside The Triangle?

*The prowler was really a prank pulled by drunken 'Tidy Bowl men' preceeding the convention?

*After regailing the police for hours about a similar story growing up in Orange County, Tracy PD suggested she visit Mental Health?

*Her husband would later call for an ambulance describing what looked like (her) "stuffing towels into the toilet of their master bedroom?"

Are you sure she's mentally ill TPD? Or could there be a man with a gun in the bushes? It could happen. "Dirty" Harry perhaps?

A minor of 14 years can't give consent, right FTUD?

The woman may want to consider having the band "practice" elsewhere!

Bad Bear. They should start calling him Lamb and see if his mood improves.

No reason? Apparently this is not a place to frequent if you are a card carrying member of the AARP.

15 minutes later and the perp left? Go figure.

It was Doane Pet Care, before Mars. Habes Mansour is the plant Manager and he is the scum of the earth. He does not care about the employees as long as they make there quota with Tons. His little sidekick Angel Morfin is his little you know what. This poor employee is a Temp and believe me they threat them like Crap. I don't buy this for a minute.

No one told her about the "Tidy Bowl" Men?

Probably having convention in her toilet?

"A man told police he needed an ambulance to take his wife to an emergency room in Manteca because she was "seiing demons" at 11:21 a.m. Thursday."

"The man, calling from Clarence Brommel Street, said his wife was in the master bedroom stuffing towels into the toilet. He defended his wife's sanity."

Yes, of course, this was highly irregular comming from the Brommel' community.

And he appologized for her unusally "demonsterative" behavior by stating, "this was a curse to all the Brommel' women going all-the-way back to Mr. Beau Brommel" moreover, "she would regain her sanity temorarily after doing a load of laundry by adding a roll of toilet paper to it."

"Cheerio!"

The man, calling from Clarence Bromell Street, said his wife was in the master bedroom stuffing towels into the toilet. He defended his wife’s sanity.

She probably saw demons too. I'm guessing the top two incidents are not related?
