Have you checked your empathy dipstick lately? If you’re full of it, you too can be nominated to the Supreme Court, just like Sonia Sotomayor! Plus, if you’re a Latina woman or a member of any minority, you too can make racists remarks and have it be considered a resume enhancement by both the left and by President Obama’s dictation-takers, the national media.

However, if you are a white conservative and make those remarks, your career will be over. After all, isn’t that fair?

On the high court, you’ll be able to rule on cases by considering an individual’s background and ethnicity. Under the Obama vision, justice is no longer blind! Now, justice will be fair.

It’s obvious that justice will be determined based on your background and circumstances. After all, people are no longer equal under the law, because we now use empathy.

You don’t even need to be a good attorney or judge. You, too, can have your decisions appealed and overturned 50 percent of the time and still be considered a great judge, just like Sotomayor. Plus, you’ll be able to determine national policy from the bench, just like she told us in her discussion at Berkeley a number of years ago.

Now this is our hope and change.

Empathy, along with $4 trillion worth of deficit spending by the Obama administration over the next two or so years, gives us all the hope and change we can handle.

Remember, 4 trillion seconds is 126,184-plus years. I sure hope it doesn’t take that long to repair the destruction to this country that Obama will do over the next 3½ years. That is my hope.
