‘Tracy’s Fallen Angel’ ride

Bikers will meet at The Eagle’s Nest Harley Davidson, 13900 S. Harlan Road, in Lathrop, for a motorcycle run in memory of Sandra Cantu, 8, of Tracy. The ride starts at 10:30 a.m. Saturday and will feature music from the Charlie Brechtel Band, a barbecue and a raffle.

From Lathrop, the run will continue to the Modesto Harley Davidson, on to the Livermore Harley Davidson and end at the Fireside Inn, 854 Lathrop Road, in Lathrop.

The entrance fee is $20 per bike, and all proceeds will go to the Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Tracy Crime Stoppers.

American Legion meets

The James McDermott American Legion auxiliary meeting will begin at noon Tuesday at Perko’s Café, 1321 W. 11th St.

Senior health fair

The city will host a health fair for senior citizens from 9 to 11 a.m. May 27 at the Lolly Hansen Senior Center, 375 E. Ninth St. The fair will include 35 vendors, and seniors will have a chance to get free eye exams, blood pressure checks and mini massages.

Space is limited, but the first people who show up will get a continental breakfast.

Stargazing event

The Stockton Astronomical Society will host a stargazing get-together from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. May 30 at the Oak Grove Nature Center, 4280 W. Eight Mile Road, in Stockton.

The stargazing will be canceled if it’s cloudy, but indoor astronomy-themed activities will still take place inside, rain or shine.

The fee is a $5 park entrance charge.

Free preschool

Tracy Unified School District will offer morning preschool classes, paid for by the state tobacco tax, from June through July.

The Kindergarten Bridge Program gives kids who haven’t attended preschool a chance to get used to school before kindergarten. The classes at Poet Christian and McKinley Elementary schools run from June 1 through July 12; from June 15 through 26 at Villalovoz, Central and South/West Park elementary schools; and from July 20 to July 31 at North School and Jacobson Elementary School.

The classes are from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. each day.
