Sophomore Mikayla Coelho can add MaxPreps All-American to her list of accolades from her first year of varsity softball at Tracy High School.

MaxPreps, a website where coaches report scores and player statistics, listed Coelho among 33 freshmen nationwide selected to the 2014 Underclass All-American Softball Team.

MaxPreps noted that the freshman outfielder contributed 44 hits and 40 RBIs to Tracy’s offense and batted .530 over 27 games as Tracy won the SJAA title. She led the league in batting average and RBIs and slugging percentage, .855. She also was named to the SJAA first team and received her team’s award for most outstanding offensive player.
