Born to Italian immigrants in Berkeley on April 23, 1934, Mr. Barbera had retired to Tracy 13 years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Barbera of Tracy; three children, Corrin Ricker, and her husband, Alfred, and Karen Barbera, and her spouse, Rob Spivey, all of Tracy, and Glenn Barbera, and his wife, Beth, of Colorado; two grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Sal and Carmella Barbera.
Services on Tuesday will be from 2 to 4 p.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave. Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions in Mr. Barbera’s name to a charity of the donor’s choice.
