Darell “Fetti” Esguerra, 25, a 10-year resident of Tracy, died Sunday, Aug. 10, at his home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21,at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. Eaton Ave., followed by burial in Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road. Visitation will be observed from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 501 E. Schulte Road. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be sent to the St. Bernard’s Catholic Church Building Fund, 163 W. Eaton Ave., Tracy, CA 95376.

Sam Barbera, 80, of Tracy, died Sunday, Aug. 10. Services will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave. Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, in Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions in Mr. Barbera’s name to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Severo V. Ulloa, 77, a 60-year resident of Tracy who retired from Owens-Illinois-Brockway, died Saturday at his home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. Eaton Ave., and burial will be in Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road. Visitation will be observed from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, followed immediately by a vigil service, at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave. Contributions in Mr. Ulloa’s name may be sent to St. Bernard’s Catholic Church Building Fund, 163 W. Eaton Ave., Tracy, CA 95376.

Carol O’Leary Harner, 90, mother of Susan Lazdins of Tracy, died Saturday, Aug. 9, in Tracy. Neptune Society of Central California is handling arrangements.

Arthur Peter “Art” Arroyo, 60, died Friday, Aug. 8, in Tracy after a brief illness. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. Eaton Ave., followed by entombment at Tracy Mausoleum, 8842 W. Schulte Road. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave. Condolences can be shared through an online guest book at www.frymemorialchapel.com. Wallace "Buck" Messenger, of Tracy, a veteran of the Vietnam War, died Aug. 7 at age 66. Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., is handling arrangements.

Ernest "Ernie" Pimentel Jr., 65, a Tracy native who worked for Pacific Bell and was a Tracy Fire Department reserve firefighter, died Aug. 6 in Manteca. A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at P.L. Fry & Son, 290 N. Union Road, in Manteca. Burial will be in Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road. Blanche Mae “Nana” Corbin, 90, of Tracy, died Aug. 2 at her home with her family around her. Friends are invited to a memorial service at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 23 at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave. Inurnment will be private.

• A memorial graveside service will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 15, at Tracy Cemetery for Thomas Francis “Tom” Weston, 96, a retired Southern Pacific engineer and descendant of Tracy’s first residents. He died Aug. 3 at home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Railtown 1897 State Historic Park, P.O. Box 1250, Jamestown, CA 95327.

William Robert "Bill" Stewart, 60, a former employee of H.J. Heinz Co. and the Tracy defense depot and a parishioner of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, died July 29 at his home. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., followed by a reception at the funeral home. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, also at the funeral home.
