The day will kick off with a parade of local community groups and clubs. The route runs along Central Parkway from Main Street to West Heritage Drive and back.

Immediately after the parade, around 11 a.m., the celebration will continue with a picnic at Central Community Park.

There will be activities for children, including a dunk tank, water slide and bounce house. Vendors will sell food.

Quilts of Valor will host a presentation honoring local veterans at 11:15 a.m.

The band Captivate will perform on stage from 1 to 3 p.m.

At 2 p.m., the winners of the MH Mothers Club’s annual bake-off for pies and other baked goods will be announced.
